The hosts Roger and Jan are extremely friendly and most obliging. They run a very personal accomodation service. There is a wide choice of both cooked and non cooked food available at breakfast, which cannot be faulted. Roger and Jan's house is immaculate , as is the guest room and the bathroom.

Super clean from the get go, really responsive host who was super clear with how to check in, etc. The setup was good, shared bathrooms wasn’t an issue, really well stocked kitchen with pots, pans etc. own fridge/freezer (kitchen was spotless) Bedroom was tidy, everything you’d need. Good quality/sized tv. Great WiFi (I was able to play games online with no issues) Will definitely be staying again and look forward to working in the area!

Fantastic small family run hotel. Right in the middle of Ipswich. Generous room sizes with a good en suite too. Walking distance to they middle of Ipswich.

A little pocket of country side bliss! Not only was the bar and restaurant absolutely sumptuous but the outside area (where we spent the evening relaxing) was beautiful and exactly the peace and relaxation that we were looking for. Overlooking an expanse of stunning country fields and thickets, we watched the moon come up with the sparkling stars whilst enjoying some delicious Red wine and Ales along with some smashing bites to eat, from the food menu. The room was exactly the country cosy we wanted with a wonderful ensuite bathroom, complete with a great walk-in shower and all the bathroom accompaniments needed. The bed was clean and comfy. The Room was stocked with tea, coffee and cereals as well as a full complimentary breakfast bar and fridge just outside the rooms. An added bonus (very important to enjoy the freedom of the evenings in the garden) was a key code to the side door so that when the bar and restaurant closed you could let yourself in when you're ready to go to bed and have access, in and out of the building at any time. All staff who checked us in and served us throughout the evening and following morning were nothing short of lovely. Sidenote, was very peaceful in the morning when we went to order some coffees. All in all, and if you're looking to really switch off and relax in comfort, this is the place! The Railway at Westerfield will be my little getaway spot from now on.

I was a guest for a week and can only report good things. The staff are very nice and helpful with all questions about the guesthouse or things to do in and outside of Ipswich. My room was clean and met my expectations and needs. I would choose the inn again if I were to come to Ipswich. Thank you for a carefree time.
