The breakfast was excellent; good sausages, good bacon and very good scrambled eggs. Jo was a lovely personable host and has done pretty much everything she could have done with the place. The amount of complimentary items was impressive; pretty much everything was thought of. The bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. This is very good value for money.

Great location opposite Bower House Inn, good pub for dining. Relatively quiet part of the Lake District which is ideal for us, but easy reach of Eskdale, Wasdale and Ennerdale. Comfortable accommodation for two ( we stayed in the muncaster view cottage). Nice garden to sit in too.

We loved the cosy decor and charming character of the building. Staff all friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will be coming to stay again.
