It's a classic, three rooms over a sedate Pub. The room was eclectic and cozy. The owner Martin was warm and gracious. The pub serverd a great steak and the continental breakfast really set me up for the day. I like small hotels and pubs with rooms.

very pleasant when we arrived, we left our bag in reception room was very clean and tidy and bed very comfortable excellent breakfast and very friendly gave us direction into the city via the canal 30 minute walk recommended a nice Italian restaurant .

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Chester city centre, the family-run Bawn Lodge offers traditional cooked breakfasts, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Chester Railway Station is half a mile away.

Great friendly staff, food in bar nice. Really good breakfast. Big double Bedroom with double shower. Ten mins away from town center. But also shops, pubs and restaurants across the street. Bus stop outside. It's worth a 4⭐, I suppose some people would prefer up-market to 4/5⭐. I assume in summer front bedrooms may be disturbed by outside patio, smoking area. We will be back and I would recommend to family and friends.
