You don’t find places like this often, right in the thick of old town with a killer view of the fortress and hills. Waking up to this view with mist filling the valleys was magical. The owner met us and let us in. Super nice and informative when we had questions. Helped us navigate the right lanes to the place. everything is walkable from here. If you have a car, just park it and don’t touch it until you leave.

You will have here everything you need and even more: very clean, cosy place with all the facilities including coffee machine with tasty coffee, high class home accessories, silent air conditioners, private yard, comfortable beds, all necessary things for shower, kitchen, enough sockets for all your devices, smart tv, wi-fi, perfect view from the huge and cosy balcony. Lovely apartment with stunning views across the river. We stayed in the studio which was a good size and balcony was a nice size. The decor is very tasteful and calming. Lots of thought has gone into the space Great to have a small hob and Kitchenette to prepare food. Owner had great communication and was very helpful.

Located just a block off the main thoroughfare, Hotel Gurkov offers expansive views of Veliko Tărnovo, basilicas, monuments and the surrounding hills and river valley. The rooms are newly furnished, comfortable, and very clean. Linens were crisp and the WiFi fast and secure. Our room was on the third floor and featured a terrace to survey this lovely former capitol of Bulgaria. Restaurants and shops are an easy three minute walk slightly downhill from the hotel. Our Host was very gracious! She provides an included breakfast buffet in a charming dining room, flooded with light from large windows. There are also two outdoor covered terraces as gathering spaces. A communal refrigerator is located for guests in sitting areas on each floor.
