Staff went above and beyond to make it the best experience possible. The breakfast buffet was delicious and included eggs and bacon cooked to order. We enjoyed excellent meals at the hotel for dinner, seated on the deck overlooking the beautiful Douro River.

CRASTO PAYVA DOURO NATURE is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a pool with a view and garden views. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Very well appointed and a brand new hotel. Both Christiana and Manuel were more than perfect hosts. The rooms are of exquisite beauty and extremelly clean. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home made cakes and pastries. A very enjoyable stay!

Quinta da Menina Guest House is situated in Vila Real, 35 km from Douro Museum, 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and 8.6 km from Mateus Palace. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.
