The farm is surrounded by ancient-looking walls out of lava stone, and boasts an equally ancient-looking lookout tower. My kids did love the cat that came visiting frequently

The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. We cannot recommend it enough!

Featuring free bikes, the eco-friendly Herdade do Ananás is located in Ponta Delgada, 2.9 km from Portas da Cidade. A lovely hotel on a pineapple plantation with amazing staff, great breakfast and a very interesting tour of the plantation. Everything was perfect!

Each casita has big sliding glass doors onto their own private patio with views across to the island of Pico. Also the breakfast included amazing homemade breads, jams, yogurt, and juices and eggs from their own fruit trees and chickens - not to mention freshly made waffles - so delicious! The staff were so kind and helpful, and it was only a 6-minute walk into the little town where there were a couple restaurants and a small grocery store. We can’t wait to return!

Unique environment in a restored old village hanging on to a cliff over the ocean. As good facilities as can be expected. If back on Flores, wiill stay here again. Great hiking trails.
