Very clean villas in a small farm, only 3 parties at maximum, quiet and friendly, in a orange / citrus / banana plantation, with a pool and a jacuzzi. The farm is surrounded by ancient-looking walls out of lava stone, and boasts an equally ancient-looking lookout tower. My kids did love the cat that came visiting frequently

Monte Ingles is a beautiful, secluded property in the country, but within minutes drive of the capital city of Ponta Delgada, consisting of a heritage house, riding stables, arenas and meadows, with a lovely private garden. The owner, Carolina, has done extensive renovations, making the house up-to-date while retaining the charming original features. Our ensuite rooms overlooked the garden, were immaculately clean, and well-provided with extra pillows, top-quality linens, towels, etc., and included extras like heated towel racks and towels for us to take to the beach. The shared kitchen, dining room and sitting room were all well-equipped and very comfortable. Carolina was a great host, giving us lots of valuable information on the best restaurants, beaches, hiking trails, etc. and each of her recommendations was spot on. Thank you, Carolina, for sharing your lovely home with us (and for the riding lesson that was one of the highlights of Dana's trip!) - it was a pleasure to meet you and we hope to return soon!

This accommodation is a perfect place if you want to have on one hand peace and quiet in the morning/evening and on the other, a very convenient starting point to travel around the island. It is very spacious, air-conditioned and nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable. You have access to the pool and sunbeds and a washing machine. Each apartment has its own terrace. Towel service is provided daily, together with dark towels for the beach/ hot water places around the island. There is a daily cleaning service. They give you a welcome carton of milk and some local bread. A bottle of filtered water is also provided daily. You have a tea/coffee set as well. They have a couple of orange trees in the garden, but it was not the season for oranges when we stayed there. But we did use lettuce and herbs to our salds every morning! Paulo Roberto who introduced us to the place, is very professional, helpful and resourceful! He gave us all the necessary tourist info and tips how to get the most out of the island as we were really into visiting every corner of Sao Miguel. Communication process was very smooth and effective; Paulo responded immediately to all our messages before our stay. There is enough space for everybody to park the car and it is conveniently located - just a quick drive from the airport, the center of Ponta Delgada, a supermarket, a pineapple plantation and some beaches. The one we recommend is Agua d'Alto Beach in the south of the island. We are definitely going to come back, especially that we had 11 sunny days on Sao Miguel, which added up to our amazing experience! Thank you!

Beautiful, bright, and spacious suite with a very comfortable bed! Caroline and Ali are wonderful hosts and their staff are all such warm and kind people. Breakfasts are truly amazing!! The Gin Library is such a fun place with yummy gin and tonics. Do not hesitate to book a stay here, we will definitely be back!

The owners were very friendly, they gave us some recomendations on where to eat near the house. We stayed in a small "villa" for 2 Persons. It was very spacious for two. We very much enjoyed the veranda just in front of the villa. The surroundings are very quiet, we had some great sleep.
