Close walk yo the beach, next door to one of our favorite restaurants.It changed our entire evening when we thought it wasn't gona be good cuss we had book somewhere else and it was terrible, thanks for everything!

The hotel was in a good location - just a short walk to the seafront and downtown Santa Barbara. The hotel is really quite quirky - with some lovely decoration and a funky feel. Liked the shared space downstairs in reception where there was an honesty bar and where a simple breakfast was served (tea, coffee, juice, some fruit, bagels and pastries). We hadnt expected this so was a nice extra. There was also a big fridge and freezer where guests could keep own items as there was nothing in the room for this. There was a really nice outside area with comfy seating, a clean pool, table tennis table. The room itself was comfy and my son (12) loved sleeping in the murphy bed which pulled down over the main double bed. Had a really nice welcome and the offer of a complimentary drink on arrival from a very lovely member of staff/owner (Derek?)

Staff in the hostel is super nice and also all of the guest I encountered. They have a really nice kitchen you can use to prepare a meal for yourself or store your food. The common areas include the inside lounge and an outside terrace which is very cute and useful. They have activities planed for almost every day so you can meet and hang with other guest. The location is perfect (only 3-5 minutes to the beach and a little bit more to the main street with all the bars and shopping). I was sad to spend only one night, next time I am gonna stay there for at least 2-3 nights. Really recommend this hostel.
