A very short walk from the beach, this pet-friendly Santa Barbara motel features an outdoor pool and modern guest rooms with cable TV. State Street is a 5-minute drive away. Very clean and updated comfortable room. Close to the ocean but far from State Street and cafés and shops. I many of the staff are finally covered when I first arrived, and they were not welcoming or friendly. There was luggage being stored, and I asked if I could store mine because I had to run to a work meeting and I would be back in the late afternoon, and they refused. Then they charged me a $20 early check-in fee and I was only there three hours early. The manager looked at me but didn’t smile and just kept talking to the staff about a training very loudly and acted as if she wasn’t happy that I was there. I felt unwelcome.

Located next to the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara, the Hotel Californian is just steps from the beach and features an outdoor pool. We only stayed one night, and wish it could have been a week. A stunning hotel with great facilities and helpful staff. Hopefully will return soon.

Wonderful location, next to the Santa Barbara Beach, very kind staff and all the necessary provided in the room. Beautiful place to stay when in Santa Barbara. Really appreciated and enjoyed. This hotel is 2 miles from Santa Barbara and within a 5-minute walk of the Santa Barbara Zoo. It offers an outdoor pool, a patio, and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Clean rooms and spacious! Staff very helpful and polite. Property close to the beach,plenty of spaces available at the property and on the street.

This Santa Barbara beachfront resort offers an outdoor pool with a poolside lounge. Sterns Wharf and State Street shops’ is 5 minutes’ drive away. Property super close to beach and has amazing views. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant on site was delicious, amazing service. Would definitely come again.

The Pacific Crest Hotel is located in the East Beach district in Santa Barbara, 1.7 mi from Santa Barbara City College. There is an outdoor pool and free private parking available on site. beautiful, easy to get to, easy parking, lovely interior decor. It looks like an old-school motel but the interiors are really fresh and lovely. Wonderful pool in the center, and perfectly located blocks from my conference. easy access to beach. Having the pool in the middle made it feel like everyone had a "view".

The hotel was in a good location - just a short walk to the seafront and downtown Santa Barbara. The hotel is really quite quirky - with some lovely decoration and a funky feel. Liked the shared space downstairs in reception where there was an honesty bar and where a simple breakfast was served (tea, coffee, juice, some fruit, bagels and pastries). We hadnt expected this so was a nice extra. There was also a big fridge and freezer where guests could keep own items as there was nothing in the room for this. There was a really nice outside area with comfy seating, a clean pool, table tennis table. The room itself was comfy and my son (12) loved sleeping in the murphy bed which pulled down over the main double bed. Had a really nice welcome and the offer of a complimentary drink on arrival from a very lovely member of staff/owner (Derek?)
