Det nyrenoverade, 4-stjärniga Hotel Baia Azul har ett idealiskt läge, 4-minuters promenad från stranden i Funchal. Superbra läge. Restauranger och dagligvaror inom gångavstånd. Allt som man behöver till frokost och fin utsikt från restaurang. Ägg i massa varianter och små wienerbröd m.m. Mousserande vin om man vill göra mimosa är ju ganska nice!

Det 4-stjärniga Hotel Alto Lido renoverades 2018 och ligger i Funchals främsta område Lido, 2,5 km från stadens centrum. Special thanks to Teresa( supervisor reseption)! The Cliff Bay ligger högt på en vacker halvö och erbjuder panoramautsikt över Atlanten samt privat tillträde till stranden. Frukostbuffén var riklig och god. Rummet var tyst och ganska stort. Stor balkong med otrolig havsutsikt. Middagen (Rose garden) var god och med havsutsikt. Mestadels var personalen mycket uppmärksam och tjänstvillig.

Vila Vicência ligger i Funchal, inom 7 minuters promenad från Praia do Gorgulho-Gavinas och 2,9 km från Praia Formosa, och erbjuder boende med en bar och gratis WiFi. Väldigt mysigt hotell, trevlig personal och god frukost. Stort plus för SPA avdelning med generösa öppettider.

Quinta da Casa Branca ligger i en stor trädgård med olika subtropiska träd och en bananplantage. The Quinta da Casa Branca is an absolutely extraordinary hotel consisting of a gorgeous manor house and brilliantly designed and constructed modern buildings with luxurious rooms. The grounds are as beautiful as any I have seen in a Portuguese hotel, and we particularly admired the variety of flora, as well as the informative markers describing the plants and their provenance. The swimming pools, while small, are elegant and serene, and the breakfast is sumptuous. We had dinner one night at the Michelin-rated Dining Room restaurant, where the food and service were absolutely top-notch. And the staff could not have been more helpful. They arranged a brilliant hiking tour of the Levada das 25 Fontes (a must!) and answered all of our requests for information and advice warmly and intelligently. This is a tremendous hotel. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in busy Funchal!

Set within a leafy garden, this hotel boasts an outdoor pool overlooking Funchal coastal cliffs. Pestana Vila Lido Madeira Ocean Hotel‘s studios are spacious and decorated with soft beige colours. Everything about this property is simply fantastic. Excellent customer service throughout our stay, the staff was very accommodating and we felt like VIPs. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, and our balcony view could not be beat. The breakfast buffet was amazing as well, with something for everyone. We also loved the location, it is close to the downtown without being in the heart of it, and the promenade provided excellent walking paths. A great restaurant and a large grocery store were right across the street as well. We will stay here again when we return to Madeira.

Golden Residence har panoramautsikt över Praia Formosa, Madeiras största klapperstensstrand och erbjuder en utomhuspool, ett hälsocenter och moderna rum med egen balkong. Great location, close to the beach and city, good staff, extremely helpful with any nuisance, the apartment has a fridge and kitchen with basic equipment. Nice, tasty breakfast, everyone can choose from. Pools, fittness and sauna are bonus.

Located in the heart of Funchal’s Lido area, this 4-star hotel is a short walk from the city centre and boasts contemporary interiors and an outdoor pool with a terrace.
