Set in a 15th-century building in the San Frediano district of Florence, Casa per Ferie Santo Nome di Gesú offers simple rooms, a few steps from Brancacci Chapel. We liked the fact that this is a historical building with a courtyard full of fruit trees. The rooms are big and our room had air conditioning. The bathrooms are small but clean and fully sufficient. The reception was always staffed by very friendly people :) Get a garden facing room if possible to see a beautiful Florence Sunrise (if you wake up on time). We also liked that fact that they give you breakfast coupons for a GREAT bakery. You can get a typical Italian breakfast with coffee/juice there. It was delicious.

Hotel Relais Il Cestello is located in Piazza del Cestello, next to the Cestello Church, and enjoys unforgettable views of River Arno. Rooms have wooden furniture and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is very well situated in a local neighborhood area, but still close to the city center by aprox 13 min walking. The bus stop to Siena - Piazza Tasso is at 9 mins walk. The room was spacious and clean. I checked out and could store my luggage for a couple of hours. The staff and owner were very kind and attentive. If I come back to Florence, I will stay again here. It was a extraordinary stay.

The hotel is perfectly located in San Frediano surrounded by many places to dine and visit some galleries and arty places. The room was breath taking with high ceiling (well - a palace), spacious and with a great shower. Although visiting in December, the room temperature was really pleasant (great heating). There was no problem with the street noise. The staff is helpful with sharing their tips for dining and visiting places.

This hotel and its owner Marco have left me with the best memories). Marco is very friendly, funny, kind and helpful. He values his guests very much and tries his best to make their rest pleasant and comfortable. One day I slammed the door of my room when I went out to hang my laundry on the balcony to dry. I managed to contact Marko with the help of hotel neighbors, it turned out that he was out of town, but the hotel has safes where the keys to each room are stored. He told me the code to my safe and I was able to return to my room. Marko also offered me vouchers for a free breakfast, as an apology for the fact that small construction work was being carried out nearby. It was so kind and so sweet of him. I was very touched that he took care of me. I could feel discomfort from the noise and he took this into account and made such a sign of attention. My room was very comfortable, with a small kitchen that had everything you needed - cutlery, plates, pots, kettle, tea and cookies. And even a corkscrew for opening wine!) The location of the hotel is also great, a 10-minute walk from the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens - these are the most beautiful sights of Florence.
