This small, family-run metro hotel has easy access by bus to Edinburgh city centre, less than 2 miles away. It offers free on-street parking, free WiFi, en-suite rooms and a bar. What's not to like. I mean, this sure was the best place I stayed during my whole trip in Scotland. The rooms and facilities are just like in the pictures. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the attention to detail is on point. The breakfast freshly prepared every morning by Susan and Kevyn is amazing and delicious. The location is really good because you are close to the city centre and lots of local restaurants and cafes. It is a 20-minute walk to the Royal Mile, or you can take the buses that come and go very frequently. The neighbourhood is quiet, so it's perfect to rest after a day of sightseeing. The hosts, Susan and Kevyn, are simply the best. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay to finish my vacation in Scotland. When I come back, I will most definitely stay here again and if you have the chance... do it because you will not regret it.

This luxurious 5-star retreat has a fine-dining restaurant and romantic bedrooms about 3 km from the Royal Mile. Prestonfield is surrounded by gardens and a golf course. exceptional staff, brilliant breakfast.

The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... Patient and helpful staff, great location near the city center with bus stations nearby, rooms well maintained and clean, really good food (I deeply recommend breakfasts). Additional plus was that the building was located on a campus with a lot of vegetation around, making it a really tranquil, allmost park-like place. Definitely recommend for people looking for a quiet and stressless stay :)

This 4-star townhouse hotel is located within the quiet residential area of Newington, just 1 mile from Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile and vibrant city centre. excellent staff very friendly and always ready to help, good room, there is a coffee machine in the room. Convenient parking. Special thanks to Aurora, she was super friendly at the front desk, helped us with our suitcases and we left before breakfast and she made sure we had something to eat in the morning, it's very thoughtful and such service is appreciated. Just 0.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, this 4-star Ten Hill Place, WorldHotels Distinctive is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and offers free WiFi. The location was great and the hotel absolutely lovely! We loved the room, the restaurant and the staff was very nice as well. We could even get into our room earlier than expected after arriving before the check-in time.

This elegant 4-star Victorian hotel offers luxurious rooms featuring iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, sherry and shortbread. I liked the fact there was plenty of room to park. I liked that it was close to a bus stop for transport into Edinburgh. The room was lovely, particularly the four-poster bed. I thought the complimentary sherry was a nice touch. Finally, the breakfast was delicious.

Just under 2 miles from Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh Rail Station, International Guest House is a traditional Scottish property offering a free Wi-Fi throughout. Excellent guest house! The beds were super comfy, our room was clean and elegant. Despite it is a very busy street by buses, inside our room we didn’t hear a noise from outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Welcome to The Scott, where history intertwines with luxury in the heart of Edinburgh's Southside. The view from the breakfast hall is wonderful. The whole place was wonderful with each room having a unique character. A true gem in Edinburgh!
