The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... Room was very comfortable and clean. I appreciate the possibility to make a cup of tea of coffee. Breakfasts were really great with a lot of options including Scottish breakfast. The location was relatively convenient although not the city centre (bus stop, park, and stores nearby).

The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a charming boutique hotel very nice room lovely bed and bathroom.Sophias restaurant was attached to this hotel so didn’t have to find anywhere else to eat and have drinks. The continental breakfast was the best we’ve had! Really enjoyed our stay

The room itself was super clean, the bed was very comfortable. For some reason, we received an upgrade to our room upon arrival which was an excellent surprize and a cherry on top to our trip. Elegante albergo a 4 stelle in stile vittoriano, questo hotel offre camere lussuose con docking station per iPod, TV a schermo piatto, sherry e biscotti frollini. I liked the fact there was plenty of room to park. I liked that it was close to a bus stop for transport into Edinburgh. The room was lovely, particularly the four-poster bed. I thought the complimentary sherry was a nice touch. Finally, the breakfast was delicious.

Excellent guest house! The beds were super comfy, our room was clean and elegant. Despite it is a very busy street by buses, inside our room we didn’t hear a noise from outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
