The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. It gives me great pleasure to give feedback on The Fontenay. We have stayed in numerous 5 Star hotels around the world over the last many years and we have never experienced anything like The Fontenay. It is very luxurious, elegantly decorated and has a charming and very welcoming atmosphere with very attentive and professional staff. The location is fantastic right at the beautiful Alster lake. In short it was a magical experience. We shall definitely come back. Thank you all at The Fontenay for making our stay with a truly memorable experience.

Located in Hamburg, The hotel offers free Wi-Fi connection and paid on-site parking. It's a 15-minute walk from the city centre. The exhibition grounds are 700 metres away. Room was very clean, hotel was very clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Great central location, close to trains and buses, said walk to the Alster - yet in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Instead of a mini-bar, there was a separate room offering cold drinks, snacks - at very reasonable prices, which was great. Continental breakfast; fresh cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, pastries, etc. Good value for money. Very comfortable stay, would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast was lovely, with a range of options, all fresh and delicious. The staff was amazing! They helped with so many things, from arranging a taxi to the airport to providing a thread and needled to mend a garment. And they did so many special touches, such as providing a small kids lamp in the shape of a mushroom for our seven-year old daughter.

This 5-star hotel in Hamburg's Rotherbaum district offers free high-speed WiFi, 3 Restaurants, 2 bars, 1 Cafe and a luxurious spa with indoor swimming pool. The location - Neighbourhood around the hotel is very cozy. The hotel itself - rather beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast starts at 6:15.

This hotel occupies a mid-19th century Hanseatic building, in the popular district of Harvestehude and lies close to the Alster lake, Dammtor railway station and the exhibition grounds. The area was quiet and leafy, but still close to shops and restaurants. The decor was incredible and I really appreciated the small extras and the honesty bar system.

Everything was excellent. The lady at the reception, which may be the owner, goes out of her way to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. Inside the hotel is beautiful and really a place to rest well.
