Attractively located in the centre of Ottawa, Sonder Rideau is within 600 metres of Rideau Locks and less than 1 km of Peace Tower. Very central. We could walk everywhere and it wasn’t in a sketchy street or anything. Also at a good distance to/from the airport. The room was very spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. They had extra towels, tissues and toilet paper under the bathroom sink. Kitchen was fully equipped as well. They also provided us with a laundry pod at the front desk.

Handy for the city and the beautiful government buildings. Some good places to eat and drink within a reasonable walking distance. Very clean accommodation.

Our request was met promptly and the staff at the front desk went above and beyond for us. We are very pleased with the service. The lobby is beautifully decorated and feels very cozy, lots of games to play and books to read there. Overall, very happy with our stay there.

The staff are great, very polite and ever ready to assist. Mohammed at the restuarant is a very great guy too. My request for a late checkout at 2pm was received with a pleasant “SURE!”

Directly across from the National Arts Centre, this non-smoking, landmark hotel is only steps from major attractions, and offers spacious accommodations with 49-inch TVs and first-class amenities in... We really enjoyed our stay in the Lord Elgin. The staff in reception and the restaurant are superb. They are very helpful and professional. Three of us used the restaurant for breakfast for five days and it was always excellent and the staff really are brilliant. The beds are comfortable and the room was quiet. The location of the hotel is great. The Canadian War museum and the Canada Aviation and Space museum should not be missed. The only negative for us is that there is not a supermarket nearby. I would definitely stay here again though.
