Laying in that bed was like floating on a puffy cloud!
Laying in that bed was like floating on a puffy cloud! View from bed was absolutely breathtaking! The shower was Amazing… perfect water temp within seconds, water pressure was OUTSTANDING and the high shower head made it wonderful since I’m tall!
The only thing that may have been not so great is the view from the balcony… ( paint store next door… but I think if the store was painted and given a beachy look it would of been better)
But honestly the comfort of the bed which was absolutely INCREDIBLE, The Tropical view thru the French doors from the bed was STUNNING, and the AMAZING shower was worth every penny and then some!!! I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!!

Great place, clean and beautiful beach, dogs not allowed on the beach and I had to leave mine at the hotel but it's alright, it's a way to keep it very clean and comfortable for people with no dogs.

A lovely town with much to see. Shopping and restaurants are very accessible either by trolley or on foot! We really enjoyed Casa Romantica, the pier, and the bookstore! Great food and beverages at the Fisherman’s on the pier! Lovely breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe!

San Clemente is a beautiful place. We love the atmosphere here. It's a nice beach and the restaurants and shopping are everything we love. The farmer's market on Sunday mornings are one of our family's favorite things to go to.

The employee allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready to attend a wedding that afternoon. That was outstanding customer service. The only thing that could have been better, was the shower was in need of replacement, so it was hard to adjust the right temperature and not working very well.
I grew up in San Clemente since 1957 and I have never stayed there. It was really nice to be able to actually stay at the beach even though we only had two days we are hoping to get it again next year for a longer period of time. If we can figure out how to get it early enough.
We love love, love this little cottage and our vacation there !!
Wonderful Place, great view of the San Clemente pier and beach. Large grassy lawns with many lounge chairs and a massive fire pit. Reasonable access to the beach. Many restaurants close by, Convivence store close by. There is nothing I can complain about. The staff was the best and most helpful i have ever met. We will be returning.
The location (I walked to the beach), the big room and comfortable bed. The atmosphere. I recommend drinks and food at Nomads Canteen just at the back of the hotel. Great place to sit outside to have a beer and plan the details of your stay. Next time I visit I'll take up the surf lessons. I just hadn't had enough time this time around.
Front desk staff was very nice and welcoming. Room was very clean with nice bright decor. Room had plenty of light and airflow. (I don't like dark hotel rooms). The room served it's purpose, it was just for one night and I had my fur baby. This was a pet friendly room so it had separate towels and linen for my pet.
Strong points:
- Location. Amazing location if you plan of surfing Trestles and/or staying in the local core of San Clemente. Highly recommend renting a bike to move around.
- Vibe. The surf vibe is exactly what we were looking for. The place has an amazing decor and it’s a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel has really good facilities. The room has everything you need and my son loved the pool and the jacuzzi as the water was warm. We were supposed to stay for a week and ended up extending to 10 days. The location is perfect if you want to surf Trestles however you will need a car to do everything
This is a very charming older property right across the street from the San Clemente pier. We stayed in the Sombrero Suite. Bedroom, bath, living, dining and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a great view of the pier and the ocean. The atmosphere was lovely and quaint.
Clean and very comfortable. Quiet even though near the Freeway. Pretty hotel with nice outdoor seating area for breakfast. Breakfast good as with all Holiday Inn Express hotels. Excellent service. Places to eat nearby and Landers near the beach
The location of the hotel was nice. You could walk to the beach and see the ocean from the third floor. I like that the building wasn’t enclosed from the center so balcony was inside the building but was outside still.
The hotel rooms were nice, recently renovated. Plenty of clean towels, nice shower, decent size TV, had in room safe, Keurig, mini fridge, microwave, decent beds and pillows, decent blackout curtains.
Nice Rooms and in a quiet part of San Clemente. There are a lot of amenities for an express hotel.
Breakfast was simple but nice to have. Great atmosphere to wind down. Overall great value hotel
