The room was dirty. The bathroom had mold all over it. Tubs were so bad that I had to get moved to another room and they could not find another room in the entire building that didn't have mold in the bathtub. Was a horrible room made for a pretty crappy trip. I'm really disappointed. Some kind of compensation would be great. I'll never stay in there again.

Cozy apartment located on a quiet street. Easily accessible to any place in the city of Corning. BTW, don't forget to visit the Corning Glass Museum.
Additionally, with a 30-minute drive, you can reach Watkins Glen State Park, where you can take a walk along the beautiful Gorge Trail.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was particularly impressive, as it had absolutely everything! In addition, by our request, they provided us with a barbecue grill, on which we grilled meat for a couple of evenings.
The host and his family were very friendly and solicitous. They recommended restaurants and interesting places to visit. The host (Vladislav) answered all of our questions, striving to make our stay in this apartment as comfortable as possible. A pleasant bonus was a box of delicious French Macarons kindly given to us by Svetlana, Vladislav's mother.
We will definitely recommend this apartment to all our friends!

Several museums (Corning)were close by.
Several museums (Corning)were close by. The towns of Corning, Elmira, and Watkins Glen are all close by as well as Seneca lake and the winery tour. Watkin Glen gorge and park are beautiful. There are several different local places to eat including Applebee's. Could easily spend several days in this area.

I chose this place for it's low price and it's availability — so I did not have high expectations. The advertised breakfast was not available (but I never expect to eat breakfast at places at this price point. I did plan to take a shower but no water came when I turned on the tap. I had stayed here a few years ago but I had no bad memories from that stay.
In short it was a cheap alternative to all the overpriced accommodation around WGI. Not a place to take your wife!

The promises made by the hotel regarding cookies etc being available, ARE NOT TRUE 1 It's just an ordinary hotel with ordinary facilities.
Exiting the hotel to travel locally by car, is also difficult, and it is too remote for walking anywhere other than the ( large ) mall across the road.

The downtown had a few restaurants that seemed good.
The downtown had a few restaurants that seemed good. The hotel we stayed in was not near the downtown area so had to drive. Not a place that had a lot of things to do but was about 30 minutes away from Watkins Glen State Park where we were going. Would not go there as a destination itself.

Great place to stay.
Great place to stay. It is close to the Cornish Glass Museum and the Rockwell Museum. Both are so interesting to visit. Good restaurants in town. The gal at the desk gave us good advice as to where to eat. We even tried some new and crazy dishes on the menu! Really enjoyed this town.
The location was decent as it was just off a main highway, not a heavy traffic area and the surrounding area didn't give us bad vibes. It's less than a 5 mile drive to downtown Corning, NY. We were in the area for the NASCAR weekend in Watkins Glen, NY and this hotel seemed reasonably priced and within a half hour and very easy drive to the track on scenic country roads. The beds/sheets/pillows appeared to be clean and were comfortable enough. The staff we encountered were nice and accommodating.
I reserved a room at red roof in, but they put me in another hotel. The room was nice, but did not have a coffee maker as advertised. I wake up way earlier than my husband and want to enjoy a cup of coffee…have to go to a store close by for very bad coffee…I will not return when I asked the front desk about the coffee maker, he said they were only in the red roof in. I reserved a room there and have no idea why they switched it. They did not look to busy
The staff of this hotel was very friendly. We were greeted by a nice lady at the front desk who made us feel welcome and give us the information we needed. The room was spacious and we got a view on the garden from te room. There was a swimming pool available. The room and bathroom were clean. It was possible to park in front of the room.
The hotel is 7 years old and still looks and feels new. The room was a good size for a small family. The breakfast was nice. Mini omelets, sausage, waffles, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit. Coffee was available 24/7 in the lobby. The location was excellent to all the Corning attractions and parking was free.
the staff were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. the room was basic but had what we needed. it was in close proximity to downtown corning and near lots of stores. they had free bottled water, coffee, tea, and grab and go items for breakfast including fruit, nutri grain bars, and yogurt.
Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was typical, lacking in protein or cooked foods. The lighting was poor and the pillows were either lumpy or stiff. Otherwise, it was sufficiently comfortable for my one night stay.
