The property was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. We just needed a clean bed and shower. There was an oversized fridge as well as microwave.

Who you see can be a profound influence upon your opinion of a town. Somehow, my experiences with strangers in Elko have been amazingly positive. While never living there, I've made about 3 dozen trips there; most of them to take seniors to dental or eye care. Whether it was locals or employees at healthcare, casino restaurants ( e.g. Gold Dust West ), or other vendors ( pizza, groceries [ e.g., Smith's ] ), Elko has been a friendly place for me. The mountains are gorgeous & deer wander through the town. The senior center is profoundly & positively involved. If you take the time to explore, they have streets with really interesting well-kept homes; a wide range of architecture ( many appear to be antebellum ). And the town itself has some charmingly "folksy" shops along with the big box stores. Elko is an appealing town.

I was in town on business for one night only so what I did see of Elko was a nice town with a good choice of restaurants and Casinos if that's your thing, traffic was not congested so it was easy to get around. I have to return later in the month so I will allow myself some time to check out the town a little better.

Not my type of town, casinos were smaller than Wendover which had a better vibe overall, but nearby Ruby mountains were amazing. I could definitely come back on a nicer warmer summer day just to go to those mountains, I could only spend a night in the town or just skip it and head straight to camping.

Friendly small Western town with long list of short-visit attractions. Limited variety of restaurant options outside of casino-based or fast-food chains. Pizza Barn has good quality variety at reasonable cost with interesting old school video games and other kid-friendly stuff.

Odeh’s Mediterranean Restaurant has great food!
Odeh’s Mediterranean Restaurant has great food! Just be sure if you’re ordering by phone you don’t call Odeh’s Mediterranean *Kitchen*—which is on the east coast ;-)
Love BJ Bull’s Cornish Pasties and Pies! Always worth a stop. Try the Beef and Mushroom Pasty.
Northeastern Nevada Museum is a fun stop, and close to a very nice park as well.
California Trail Historic Interpretive Center is also fascinating.
This was a return stay at Ledgestone Hotel which did not disappoint! Returning home on a road trip, we had planned to stay in Winnemucca; but it was crazy busy there with no place to stay that wasn't right on the noisy main drag. Despite having to drive on to Elko after dark, arriving at Ledgestone just after 10PM, it was the best decision we could have made. Our check-in was quick, the room was clean and quiet (even though facing the freeway), bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed a cup of coffee in our room in the morning.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was traveling solo from the east coast to the west coast and stayed at little hotels along the way. For the price, this place had all you need. Clean, safe, and quiet. Just blocks away from night life, restaurants, and casinos. If you’re looking for a cheaper place to stay but also want to remain safe and have a clean place to lay your head, this is it.
Good and very affordable motel just off I-80 to spend a night when in transit, and to check out beautiful historic Elko while you're there. Friendly staff, a rather basic but very clean room with a fridge, a microwave and a comfy bed. They offered some breakfast items in the lobby but we just had coffee and rather hit the road. Great place, absolutely no complaints.
We were cheerily greeted by Ariel at the front desk, who informed us we were staying at the newest hotel in Elko. She swiftly checked us into a lovely room on the upper floor and assured us it had a fantastic view of the mountains in the morning. It did. Breakfast was beyond the standard, and the hotel was every bit as nice as Ariel maintained.
You can tell the motel is a little older, but it was very clean. The location was right downtown within walking distance to several nice restaurants. We did not try the hotel complimentary breakfast, but explored several other little breakfast places right across the street! Overall we had a nice stay. The staff was extremely nice.
The price was reasonable; it was mainly just a stopover on my road trip to Utah from California. I found accommodations suited my needs. Hotel was clean, staff quite friendly and helpful, and room had basic essentials. Enjoyed next day strolling Elko downtown viewing the many murals on their buildings there.
It’s a comfortable travelers motel on the Main Street, next to the museum which is why I went to Elko. It was good value compared to the other motels there. I got a long hot shower and a good nights rest which was all I was after.
The reception desk was very professional and welcoming. As the pool was under renovation, they made arrangements for me to swim in the pool across the road under the same ownership. That hotel also had a 24-hour Starbucks.
The person at the front desk was one of the most friendly I have dealt with at a hotel check in. He made it quick and easy to check in. Breakfast snacks were pretty standard but helped us start our day.
Breakfast was best one I have had at a hotel for a long time. Not your ordinary continental bf but served in their restaurant with really great options. Servers were great also. Bf came really quick.
clean facility, close to Luciano’s for a good dinner, very nice complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Quiet room; carpet looked new. maintenance promptly reset our TV when it didn’t work.
very clean, comfortable and modern hotel. The pillows in the room are both soft and hard, you choose what you like, very nice bed linen, and soft fluffy towels)
Hotel manager was super friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Rooms were spacious and simple. Very clean. Great location, close to bars and center of town.
