I only stayed three nights before going to Phuket. I would like to stay for a week in the future. We went to walking street once but during the day, I would like to go at night also. We visited the big Buddha which was nice. I had trouble arranging for a visit to the elephant Sanctuary in Pattaya but did that later in Phuket. The advantage is the beach and view. Yet it is far away from city center during traffic time (most of the day) and it takes a long time to get into the city. We stayed at the the Royal Cliff beach hotel, an expensive luxurious hotel yet it was very disappointing due to their unpleasant staff.

I do not recommend this place at all. The reception was really bad and they treat the booking.com guests in unwelcoming way. That really made me upset. Also the key collection process was a 1 out of 10 thing to me. Why would a guest do this after spending so much of money. Bad bad bad gesture by booking.com. The price was also great value. Food shopping was easy and transport on the baht bus is easy, regular and great value for money.
