I am so glad I booked my stay at San Lorenzo. The entire staff was welcoming, helpful and made me feel like it was my home away from home. The pool was perfect for cooling off after the warm days. The food was also delicious. I will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Lovely property in a quiet part of town. Excellent and helpful. Restaurant has a beautiful view of the lake, an abundance of fun seating (like swings) and the breakfast was good (we didn’t have any other meals there. We visited 2 other casa 1800 properties (cerro verde and Ataco) and wished we had booked rooms in both places.

One of the nicer stays we’ve had in all of Central America so far. Perfectly clean. Very comfortable bed, couch, AC worked amazing. Lots of windows. Newly painted room with Netflix and big tv when stuck in bed with food problems. Loved the outdoor space with kitchen. Amazing host and best breakfast we’ve had traveling. Treated us perfectly.

This was our second time at the property and it has been very well up-kept. Accommodations were perfect, clean, organized and the view is top notch. Highly recommend asking about the massage you can schedule with Esaú, as it is wonderful. The host Ana Maria made amazing recommendations to me and helped me set up a wonderful surprise for my partner who is now my fiancee after our stay at El Nido Flor de Pajaro.
Amazing place to visit! Gorgeous town, loved the lake and boat tours to see hundreds of birds on the shimmering waters. Also enjoyed the town and Irma's Indigo scarf making workshop. A truly special place to visit!

We thought we would see more in the city center.
We thought we would see more in the city center. A friend told us to walk to the La Posada de Suchitlan restaurant. Glad we did. It had a pretty view of the lake and mountain. Other then that, not a lot to look at.

The local government is working to preserve the old town.
The local government is working to preserve the old town. The roads are stone and many homes built in the spanish colonial architectural style. There are ordinances that prohibit modifications to the home’s facade, so the owners restore to look like the original. The city is very clean, safe and the people are very friendly. The main plaza is lively with local vendors selling a variety of things all weekend. Will definitely return to Suchitoto.

This was a perfect first stop on our El Salvador tour (one week) after picking up our rental car at San Salvador airport. Peaceful, relaxed, CLEAN town with the typical main plaza fronted with a beautiful cathedral. Some vendors around the plaza as well as pupuserias and some cafes. Enjoyed just wandering the side streets, admiring the house fronts and flowers, looking at the indigo work in the shops and watching life go by. The lake is nice. If we had more time we definitely would do a boat trip or a kayak tour to watch the birdlife.

I stayed 3 nights in Suchitoto and enjoyed every minute of it. The town is very authentic Spanish Colonial, having been to Leon and Granada in Nicaragua, I prefer Suchitoto, its unspoiled, safe and welcoming. I did the boat excursion on Lake Suchitlan and went to the Cascadas Los Tercios.
Practice your Spanish as there is very little English spoken here.
My favourite place here was the hammock on the porch. Could have stayed there quite a while. The room was comfortable and clean. Liked that the hotel had different areas that you could relax in. Typical South American breakfast which always fills you up. Staff are lovely and so helpful, and I quite liked the hotel being a little way from the town. Would stay here again. Wifi was a bit weak in my room but it didn’t stop me booking another two nights.
location with a great view of Suchitlan lake.

After traveling to Casa 1800 located in Ataco 1 year ago, we are Definitely coming back to the one located in Suchitoto.
Big staff was always smiling and extremely helpful and in constant motion keeping place sharp. Several persons went out of their to help me plan an long and very complicated multi bus trip. With beautiful pool and courtyard along with very comfortable bed and large shower Hotel Jardin felt more like a mlnl resort.
This hostal is very good! The house is so beautiful and provides for a good hangout spot. The family is fantastic and so accommodating. They have breakfast in the morning. The town of Suchitoto is so nice as well, not too big with plenty of things to do. I recommend taking a tour of the lake by boat. It is so good!
This is a very unique hotel in a great location in town that is walkable to restaurants and the town center. Hotel is decorated with interesting art and has beautiful garden areas. Breakfast was good and could be enjoyed in beautiful common spaces. We also liked seeing the resident dog Lorenzo on site.
Suchitoto was very beautiful and this hotel is in the perfect location right by the main square. The rooms were ideal and staff very friendly. Unfortunately I left my charger in the room after I left but they went out of their way to return it to me in Santa Tecla - which I am very grateful for.
The property was lovely, the hosts were very nice and hospitable. The room was just as in the pictures and had an amazing view of the lake. The hotel was also walking distance to town and we had a spot to park on the property. Beautiful place!
Had an entire room to myself at a really reasonable price. The room was very clean, the host was lovely and there is a really nice outdoor area with tables and hammocks. It’s within walking distance of everything in Suchitoto.
This hotel was well-located and easy walking distance to the main square. It was quiet and the air-con worked great. The garden areas were cute and had some nice seating. The pool wasn't really clean but was refreshing.
Breakfast was simple but nice. Location is really great as it's only a few blocks walk from the main plaza of Suchitoto. Down a quiet, safe street. Price is very good for the place for a private room.
The place is beautiful and quiet. The staff is really amazing, specially the man in charge of parking, he doesn't rest until the car was in a nice spot closer to the hotel. The food is incredible.
The staff friendliness, The location of the hotel. Everything is within walking distances since its in the heart of Suchitoto. I did like that the room has hot water and air conditioning.
This hotel is about 4 blocks from the plaza. The view from the deck is priceless. The food and drinks were great. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable-lovely bed and ac.
This stay was fantastic and the breakfast was AMAZING. We cannot recommend this place enough - we’ll definitely be staying here when we return to Suchitoto.
