Giovanni was an amazing host. A very friendly and helpful person. The property is tucked away nicely in Monterosso old town with a balcony terrace that feels like a very quiet and calming oasis away from the busier Main Street below. We used this for breakfast, and also in the afternoon to relax. We’d stay again without a doubt.

Beautiful place very good for reaching all the other cinque terra villages. Has a lovely beach front and a charming old town. Excellent train connection and reasonable boat trips too. Perfect holiday destination whatever you want to do. Walk the trails, lie on the beach. Visit local area by train and you certainly must try the ice cream in each town you visit.

It is a lovely town and a great place to stay if you want to explore Cinque Terre. You can combine a hiking/cycling holiday with a beach holiday. The train service is excellent and if you don't want to hike you can explore all 5 towns by train.
Monterosso itself has pleny to see apart from beaches and the restaurants are excelelnt, especially if you like seafood.

This was the best of our accommodations during our 2 week stay in Italy. Marta was amazing and provides shuttles and a good breakfast of granola, yogurt, fruit, pastries and even eggs, pancakes and cappuccino. The views were amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. I prefer a softer bed than what was in the room. However the pillows and linen were soft and comfortable.
Marta goes above and beyond what is necessary and always greeted us with a smile
I would definitely stay here again.
The b and b is up on a hill and a shuttle is provided but we walked back and forth without difficulty into the main part of town.

Attractive village, but split into two by headland (tunnel links the two). All amenities, but slightly spread out. Good (but when we visited, busy) train links to other Cinque Terre villages. Also boat links if weather ok. We found it an ideal base for exploring Cinque Terre, including walking the SVA (Blue Path), albeit walking is challenging. Scenery to die for.

The walk from Montorosso to Vanassari (SP) is very steep at each town with difficult steps.up and down. It is very beautiful but requires excellent balance and footwork for 300 meter of climbing at each town. The towns are special and the food is even better.

The hotel is right on the beach and the sound of the sea was fantastic! Breakfast was indeed a welcome pleasure, outside in the fresh sea air. One thing that was not so comfortable was being on the third floor (4 stories up) without the use of the elevator which was explained to us to be only for "wheelchair passengers and luggage." The trek up for a 77 year old and another with a pacemaker was truly a task to be worthy of a wheelchair. Perhaps Handicap means something else in Italy, but "unseen" ones should also count.
The location was perfect for a holiday in Cinque Terre. It was five minutes walk from Monterosso train station and the road leading to the hotel was flat. Going up to the hotel itself though, there was a steep climb for about a 80 metres with some steps towards the entrance.
The breakfast was excellent and one particular member of staff, Aretta was super friendly and made sure I got my eggs the way I like it. I stayed in for dinner one evening, and that was very good value for money at €30 for a 5 course meal.
Throughout our vacation in Italy, we had the opportunity to stay at various hotels in Rome, Florence, and Sorrento. However, Hotel Margherita stood out as the ultimate choice in every aspect. The service desk was exceptionally helpful, the breakfast quality and organization were top-notch, and the rooms, along with their spacious bathrooms, left us thoroughly impressed. Undoubtedly, Hotel Margherita was the highlight of our Italian getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
We were very well received, assisted with luggage and shown around the premises. Beautiful garden and an onsite bar was nice to have. Most probably the best breakfast we had in Italy, Location was a short walk from the station. Due to nature of Cinque Terre, be prepared to have to climb some stairs and walk up a hill, but nothing too bad. Lots of nice restaurants and shops within a two-minute walk. Close to the beach. Hotel provides beach towels. We spent one night in Monterosso.
Breakfast was perfect! Location was not a problem for us since the hotel has its own shuttle bus/service car that takes you to the Monterosso beach entrance. All of the staff were very friendly. Anna even suggested routes to take to explore the Monterosso.
Manarola Village was the best amongst the 5 for me. Porto Venere, not one of the 5 villages, but we visited as recommended by Anna, and we loved it! One shouldn't miss this place when visiting Cinque Terre.
Hotel Marina is a great location right in the town of Monterossa. Walking distance to all the shops and Osterias. breakfast is served on the upper deck under Lemon Trees and it was outstanding!. After Cruise tourist leave, the town is quaint and not so busy. Not a far walk from the train, which is how we arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the Cinque Terre area.
The location of the property was amazing! Close to the station and Monterosso was a gorgeous place to stay. The host, Stefano, was a lovely man and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel all day, as well as the use of the facilities and bedroom. The breakfast was very yummy. All facilities were perfectly clean. Our stay was very comfortable. Highly recommend
Hotel is well situated in Monterosso in a very quiet street but very close to restaurants and the beach about an 8 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast is great with a man excellent choice, fantastic table of sweets stuff and cakes. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Lovely wee bar and you can take your drinks to the 4th floor gardens.
The room is big and clean. It is on the hill of Monterosso so away from all the tourists, but it is also only a 5 min walk to the train station. It is a quite room and we cannot hear our neighbors. And they have a private yard with garden chairs and everything (and also 2 cute cats). The people at the hotel were also super nice.
The bathroom was great compared to our other hotels in Italy. We loved the "hole in the wall" that you take to get to the hotel. Very safe feeling area. Beautiful lemon trees right outside the window. The perfect place to get away from the crowds. There was also a rooftop terrace where we ate breakfast.
Lovely hotel with an amazing staff. Friendly & helpful. Clean rooms and very nice lobby. Convenient to the plaza and train station. We stayed in Monterosso while we while we explored Cinque Terre area. We had a group of 15 and the hotel staff was great. Wonderful breakfast and beautiful patios.
lovely hotel in the pretty back streets of Monterosso. great location, lovely breakfast in the roof garden and clean and comfortable rooms. A short walk to the beach and just minutes from the restaurant and shops.
we also did a boat tour which they recommended with Edo and it was amazing.
Great hotel in great location. There is a small refrigerator and tea pot in the room. The owner Albergo is very friendly, he gave us all the information about Monterosso and Cinque Terre, he helped us a lot. We are very thankful and definitely recommend this hotel for everyone.
The location was great, and I had a sea view from my room. It was up a lot of stairs, but I’m a hiker so It wasn’t an issue. The man who runs the hotel was extremely kind and helpful, and this made my days in Cinque Terre that much better! I would stay here again for sure:))
This small hotel run by a friendly staff is conveniently located to the train which allowed us to easily travel to other cities in Cinque Terre.
The room was very comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
We would stay here again.
proximity to the beach, location, owners. was an awesome home base in the cinque terre, easy to the train and great for just soaking up some sun on the beach. owners are very friendly and helpful
We loved this hotel, spotlessly clean, and an easy walk from Monterosso train station.Lovely breakfast,a variety of items.Nice bar area to have a drink when you returned after a day exploring!
location is right on the beach front of Monterosso and was perfect for our stay in Cinque Terre. The room had a beautiful view and the owner was super hospitable.
