The hotel was exactly what we wanted from a vacation. Lovely, bright room, gorgeous view, complementary prosecco in our room sipped on the terrace. Staff worked hard to meet our every need. One staff member even shared his own umbrella on a particularly rainy evening. Enjoyed delicious drinks at the bar at sunset. Turndown service with fresh water and delicious cookies. Best view in Amalfi yet close to walk everywhere. Would go back in a heartbeat. When I close my eyes I am there!

This place had personal touch in every aspect of it - the same kind when it’s ran by family. However, attention to details, customer service, and amenities provided surpassed even big brand names in hospitality. Baltazar - owner manager, his sweet mom - pastry chef, his father - second generation chef, his grandfather, after whom the restaurant on the property is named - every employee we got to meet - they all created very cosy, tasty, and comfortable environment where one would want to find him/herself when planning to get away from busy schedules. That is what we were looking to do ourselves and it fitted perfectly to what we needed. Even its location - above everybody else, worked perfectly for us - away from noise and turmoil of overcrowded streets of Amalfi even in April. Did I mention vast sea underneath that we were “forced”to observe?

Lettere is a small town up hill. The view is spectacular. You can just stay in a good home stay or resort and enjoy the panoramic views of the Bay, Mountains and the town down the hill. The balcony views are lke view points.
Driving through the lanes of Lettere is tough specially if you are driving in a big car. Small cars are advisable. GPS navigations dont work properly. It is better to download one or have a physical map. Mobile signals are poor in the area. Wifi is also weak. But the local people are lovely and helpful. They greet you warmly, talk with you and help you wholeheartedly
