Close to airport, clean, large rooms and friendly staff. Had a great breakfast selection.
It was close to airport. Room was overpriced for the accommodation. Breakfast we had to pay for but wish we would have just stopped at a gas station instead. The guy wears a chef jacket but only thing that was cooked was boiled eggs. Price for breakfast was too costly for what you get.
Rosa’s place is off the charts great. we felt just like at home. she has everything one could need in a rental villa in Iceland. it’s a very spacious property, 3 rooms, nice modern kitchen with most comfortable sofas in living and family rooms. the backyard patio is so huge and inviting as well but it was so cold (not surprised)
we recommended this property to so many people now. please do not miss this. what a great place!
Conveniently located at the intersection between blue lagoon/volcano, KEF airport and reykjavik. Super clean, 4 bed studio is modern and has a nice lay out with 2 beds on each side offering some privacy. Kitchen is separated with all equipment, including a washing machine. The hosts are very friendly and helped to dry my laundry with their dryer. Breakfast, a great value, can be ordered in advance. Highly recommended!
Thanks to host we had very pleasant overnight before our flight back home. We could have a cup of coffee early morning.
Place is very nice, small town is nor crowdy, we could have good rest.
Price is really good comparing to other hotels close to airport, rooms are big and we liked beds very much, nothing softer ever.
Thanks a lot and looking forward to stay here again.
After a long day of extreme winter weather, I had to quickly book a hotel as all flights out of Iceland were cancelled. The host at Hotel Vogar was warm and welcoming, much needed after a stressful day. The room and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Our host cooked delicious meals for us and made taxi arrangements for us to get back to the airport the next day.
Motel style hotel. Has rooms on the outside where there is ample parking and one can park the car right outside. It does have few rooms in the building as well. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not included in the price. This message is displayed on the reception too. Works fine if you have an early flight, and it's less than half an hour from airport
First off, the staff here is extremely helpful. The location is excellent as it affords quick access to Keflavik, Reykjavik and the volcano; all are within 30 minutes. Vogar is a quiet little town but I am growing quite fond of it. If you are looking for a great place to stay to see the volcano, I was extremely pleased with the 20 minute drive to the volcano.
A very good room - comfortable beds and very modern bathroom. Good internet and excellent kitchen in the motel open 24 hours. Hosts very helpful indeed and kindly cooked our fresh fish in their oven. The location is an excellent base for visits to the Blue Lagoon and the fissure volcano on Reykenes Peninsula and also only 15 mins from airport.
Decent Hotel, was completely empty except me and another guest, not even the hotel owner present in the evening. and the town does not have any store nearby( within 15 minutes driving distance.
But hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Recommend if you are traveling with company and not alone.
The staff person was VERY helpful. We stayed in this hotel because our flight from KEF was canceled. He helped to arrange group taxis to the airport next day to share the cost. See the photo of of the hotel entrance to judge what the weather was like.
Very good place to stay!
all the rooms and the kitchen is new, very clean and comfortable.
The woman that responsible to this palce reallt nice and helped us a lot with ideas to where to travel in the area.
It is highly recommended hotel!!!!!!!
It was very close to the airport, we needed a place to stay for one night since our flight had a delay of 12 hours. hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms are not super luxury but were clean and had all we needed. Beds very comfy.
The hotel is in a good location close to the blue lagoon and Keflavik airport. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and everything was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay here again, great value for money!
Monika was very nice and helpful. I loved the kitchen available to residents. The rooms were very nice and clean. Very close to the volcano and Blue Lagoon with easy reach to Reykjavik, Grindavik, and Keflavik.
