The evening meal was exceptional. Good choice of wines and pleasant service. The breakfast was also fresh and hot. A pleasant room with lovely grounds. We enjoyed a lovely riverside walk close by and the town of Clonmel was also very interesting

I liked the warm welcome, the cleanliness, the preserved old house style, the comfortable room and location. The breakfast room was quite unique with Robin's artifact collection on display.

It's a lively friendly place, well placed for travel to many areas in the South and Southwest of Ireland. There is the campus of Technological University of the Shannon in the town, a wonderful facility.

The stay at the hotel was excellent.
The stay at the hotel was excellent. We were able to travel around the whole area and found the town itself to be very interesting and the people were really friendly. We had dinner and lunches at various places and they were all great value for money. The effects of covid were very noticeable in that a lot of businesses have been forced to close down.

Clonmel is a historic town in Co.
Clonmel is a historic town in Co. Tipperary with portions of the old town walls particularly around the Protestant church, The "Main Guard" was the centre of the town - free opening - and there is another perfectly sized museum also. Lots of wide streets, old shop facades, lovely friendly people, and a fine river.

We lived in Clonmel for more than 16 years and love it.
We lived in Clonmel for more than 16 years and love it. The people are friendly and there are a lot of clubs, a good movie theater, lots of shops. Lots of flowers planted and the views of the mountains is splendid. It's a lovely town that is busy, but not too busy. Lots of good food. It's a wonderful little Irish town.

Nice hotel. We would like to stay there again...
Staying with Helen and Michael at their lovely family home in the middle of Tipperary countryside is like a relaxing stay with old friends in an historic old home, like a lovely antique. Cozy fires always welcoming your arrivalack to the house, the most comfy beds and a scrumptious breakfast each morning, with tea in the afternoon in an elegant sitting room. Could not be a nicer place to spend several days exploring the gorgeous countryside just nearby the property. Super-historic village just minutes away, lovely walks abound.
The hotel itself is nice, as is the pool/sauna etc. The staff were all very kind and welcoming.
My main issue is the cost for the stay and the very limited breakfast. It doesn’t cater for those who don’t like fries. There were a few bits of fruit floating around in some liquid and it didn’t look appetising at all. Wasn’t offered tea or coffee by staff. Limited cereal choice. Need more and more healthier options
Flexible, accommodating, kind staff always. A good place to use as an affordable place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. The ability to have staff get a fan for the room made it comfortable and easy to sleep at night during the unexpected heat. Food was good, parking was convenient.
As the hotel was built in the 19th century it was good to experience staying in a place that old. The dining was quaint and an abundance of food at breakfast. The pub downstairs had live music playing in the evening. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean.
Out host was friendly and knowledgeable, and was very gracious in facilitating the cancellation of a second booking we had. The room was spacious and comfortable, although definitely not glamorous, and breakfast was very good. Location was great for walking about town.
Breakfast all you could possibly want. Good coffee. Everything freshly prepared.
It was the staff who were wonderful, they were kind considerate an helpful. Brilliant every one.
It was a hotel with atmosphere
Best breakfast ever !! Clare was very professional and friendly. I would give it a 10 but for the sound proofing. location in the town good derelict hotel opposite is unfortunate however not Befani’s fault
Befani's is a great little guesthouse with an absolutely outstanding restaurant.
Clonmel is an interesting, historic town, free of the busloads of tour groups that throng so.many places in Ireland.
Its a no frills hotel but absolutely perfect for a night out in clonmel which is why we stay there - this is our third time staying, and in the very same room as well!! Staff are amazing, we love it!
Nice simple hotel in the city center. Reasonably furnished and clean rooms, very good restaurant, friendly staff. Clonmel is a great place to enjoy Irish countryside and historical sites.
GREAT BREAKFAST.SUPERB DINNER AND LOVELY ROOM.GREAT LOCATION RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF CLONMEL.OWNERS ARE LOVELY PEOPLE AND CANNOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU.ALL THIS AT REASONABLE PRICES.
Breakfast was excellent. Waittresses were very friendly and accomodating. Location is perfectually situated in the middle of town. Easy access to anything you might need.
Beautiful old Manor House with a real sense of history within the walls. Staff were very warm and friendly . Within walking distance to Clonmel centre.
