The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay. The house oozes character and history. Perfect for a Highland stay. Felix and Sarah our hosts were friendly and helpful, a special mention to Phillipa who went the extra distance to make our stay perfect. If you want a true Highland experience then a stay at the Torridon estate will not disappoint.

Wanted to check out the town gallery to see if they sold the Torridon estates artists work. People were inside, eating or such, and it said OPENED but the doors were locked. We were on our way out of town around 11:00 am. Sad..we were in the mood to buy and to have a hot drink! Doesn’t say much for the community! Also, on our way into town, the night before, 2 people were sitting out front of the local store or restaurant and we had our car top down and waved! They just stared at us! Not too friendly!

This is no ordinary accommodation as one is staying in a family home which is being developed by the owners. The bedrooms are well renovated with comfortable beds. No tv which did not bother us. Instead, the house is peaceful.

We called ahead to Torridon stores and placed a grocery order. Jo, at the stores, was most helpful and provided most of what we needed. The rest we picked up at Tesco in Inverness. There is another useful store at Sheildaig. We had excellent meals and service at the ‘Bo and Muc’, ‘The Walked Garden’ at Applecross, ‘Kishorn Seafood Bar’ at Kishorn. Ben View was perfect for a family get together with four generations spread out through the house. It is difficult to imagine finding a place that could offer better, ever-changing, views.

Torridon is simply one of the best places if you want to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The scenery is both dramatic and very beautiful, but also extremely peaceful and calming. I would love to visit this place at any time of the year (if it's accessible)

We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500.

We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500. Would be nice to stay longer but quite pricey for a B and B. We ate at Torridon Inn 4 miles away, worth the journey , alternative would be further away. Make sure you book somewhere to eat before travelling. Surrounding area is stunning. Torridon is a small Hamlet and quite secluded so take provisions. We arrived on a Sunday and the cafe was closed. The cottages would be a good option for a number of days so no need to eat out.

Breakfast was served in the bedroom which felt odd at first but turned out to be quite nice. Breakfast was continental style and plenty to eat. House is a lovely piece of period history and room proportions were grandiose. Don’t expect five star decor, this is a huge place that needs tlc, prices you pay for the privilege of staying here are very fair. Grounds are both secluded and stunning. We walked out from the rear of the property past waterfalls and pools where you can swim up into the Torridon mountains.

This hotel is incredible! Hidden at the end of a bumpy road is this great gem. The hotel is stunning, endless rooms and corridors makes you feel like you are actually walking through a castle to get to your room. A river runs behind the hotel which Feliz and Sarah recommended we go swimming in which was great! The room was huge with comfy beds and a waterfall shower. Breakfast was brought to the room and was delicious.

The estate is a magnificent property and we enjoyed the spacious room with a view. On arrival, we were greeted by a wild stag at the garden and it set our mood well. Felix the host was very helpful all the way and we had a wonderful and comfortable time at Torridon Estate. A bonus to our stay was we had breakfast served at the room where we could take our time to eat and enjoy the room a bit more, in pajamas.

The location of the accommodation is terrific. It's located on the edge of the loch in a very scenic setting. We were greeted by the very pleasant and friendly owner who explained some of the reasoning behind the general state of the place. It's clearly a project that still has some way to go. We did have breakfast provided in our room and it was excellent.

The hostel is a great base to go hiking in torridon and the surrounding areas. The people who work there are friendly and gave some great suggestions on what hikes to do based on one's fitness levels and goals. The common lounge was amazing - gave a very luxury vibe to an otherwise good, clean hostel (which exceeded my expectations)

Amazing location in the heart of Torridon making it very accessible for hikes in the surrounding mountains or by the Lochside. Extremely welcoming hosts who are making excellent efforts to refurbish the lodge. Our room was nicely decorated and very comfortable indeed. We enjoyed breakfast being served in our room.

Torridon Estate is a unique property and experience. It’s not a chain hotel nor is it a cookie cutter boutique hotel. It may not be to everyone’s taste but we loved it and it was a highlight of our NC500 trip. The Torridon Estate website tells you all you need to know to see if you’d enjoy this unique experience

Breakfast was provided in room and was very welcome. We were pleased to have the opportunity to stay in the estate house, a property full of character and the owner's home. It was not typical hotel/b&b accommodation but all the better for that. We had everything we needed in this fantastic location

Torridon is lovely. The Torridon Estate is a beautiful building. Our room had a very good size. We cycled there and stayed just the one night. Ofcourse the furniture is just a matter of taste, it was a mixture of antiques, a bit of the ordinary and a kind of pop art style.
