I hadn't considered what to expect in Jersey but was pleasantly surprised.
The island is beautiful with a very laid-back feel to it.
St Helier is the perfect size to walk around with plenty of places to eat and drink, and nice quality shops. It has the feel of a nice country town.
Be aware that most restaurants close around 9.00pm so don't get caught out!
The bus from outside the airport took us straight to the town and it is easy to travel around the island from the bus station in St Helier. Helpful staff and a choice of bus tickets for longer stays.
We took an afternoon tour around the island which helped us decide which areas we wanted to visit again. We visited in spring so the blossoms were out, and Jersey has the most beautiful vast beaches.
Friendly and helpful people everywhere we went which added to the experience.

Average city, not very much to do here other than shopping, some pretty areas for photographing. Very disappointing choice of restaurants. Not the place to visit if you are remotely interested in food.

Great selection of restaurants.
Great selection of restaurants. We had superb meals at The White Horse, Roseville Bistro and Petisco Tradicional all within walking distance of our hotel. Not so impressed with cake at Pomme D'Or Cafe. Loved the cycle paths along the sea front and marked cycle routes out to the War Tunnels and Gorey Castle were excellent.

This could be a lovely place.
This could be a lovely place. We found almost everything in the area closed. Websites didn’t reflect museums, galleries being closed for staff training or just closed. I recommend checking by calling each place to be sure. Many shops closed down and restaurants close at 9pm. The only thing open to do was the cinema and bowling which was not signposted and hard to find plus feeling like a bowling alley from the 70’s. A number of places no longer exist, like arcades and attractions for kids. Overall it felt like stepping back to the 1980’s. If you want beaches and to eat then it’s lovely but therefore would only recommend in the summer months. People are very friendly and helpful.

Good size room with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and food was great. Considering we had to self-isolate in the room for 27 hours waiting for PCR test results, the hotel staff were very accommodating and all food/drink was available on room service. Nice indoor and outdoor pools with sun loungers (once we were allowed out). Spacious bar and restaurant area. Approx. 15 minute walk to town centre.

Breakfast was amazing: delicious fresh fruit, fresh croissants, Jersey yoghurt, choice of oat milk or regular milk, toast, great variety of cereal, and much more. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Our hosts were extremely helpful with restaurant reservations, calling taxis and helping us in every way.
They were very friendly. We are definitely coming back to the Mornington.
We were warmly welcomed and everything was explained to us. The proprietor showed us to our room carrying my wife's case. The hotel while a little old fashioned was spotless and safe distancing was practised and so we felt very safe. Excellent location 10 minutes walk from town centre and we just had to cross the road to the Lido and beach.
Great location, walking distance to the town centre shops and restaurants and bus station. The hotel is also opposite the Leisure Complex which includes a fitness centre with swimming pool, cineworld complex and fast food areas. The hotel has a nice cafe/bar area at the front of the hotel.
Everything was very well organised and all the staff were absolutely supurb and really helpful. Breakfast was excellent value for money and evening meal was lovely. Would highly recommend if you are going to Jersey check the availability of the Norfolk hotel 1st.
Staff are amazing so friendly and kind they make the hotel so wonderful. Gardens and pool are fabulous so peaceful and beautiful. People return year after year . Big thankyou to Annette on reception so lovely and a great singer.
The spa was lovely, but the bedroom was small, the bathroom could do with updating and the hotel seems a little dated. I think the hotel could do with a renovation. Feels like a 3 star hotel that has a nice spa attached.
Lovely location, facilities were great - we used the pool. We did not eat at the hotel and didnt see the staff much, but the cleaners did a great job and the bar staff seemed friendly and polite.
Perfect location for exploring the beautiful island of Jersey. The hotel offers everything you need for a company stay. Breakfast is superb, rooms are good, free parking if you have a car.
Great location, near to the town centre and opposite a lovely park. A no-nonsense hotel/ guest house, secure and comfortable, especially if you aren’t planning to spend an entire day there.
On sea front, clean, good breakfast, comfortable beds. We had a room at the back, which was very quiet but there is a main road in front of the hotel. 15 minute walk to town centre.
