Fantastic little place, every facility you could need, including a garage for bikes, very comfy living room and beds, all very clean and well organised. Very good heating, well equipped kitchen, great shower. Superb location for a mountain biking trip, but wold also be ideal for any other activity. " well stocked shops nearby and a load of takeaways. Will definitely stay here again.

Definitely need a car to get around this area. Not quite the luxury I was looking for. Accomodation and breakfast where I stayed was fairly basic. Quite limited in eating out options too. Managed to walk the Pen y Fan which was the highlight of my stay here.RhondaAustralia - 10Scored 10

Only stayed 2 days and then was at an event so not enough time to explore. However on an evening plenty of places to eat and drink. Tesco Extra and range of other shops incl. Saturday street market. Liked the fact it has good public transport links to the Brecon Beacons the town itself looks a bit run down in places like many these days but had everything we needed with lots of things to do nearby. We enjoyed climbing Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, visiting Lyn Cwm Llwch, walking along parts of the Taff Trail, visiting The Brecon Mountain Railway, Cyfarthfa Castle and park as well as things further a field.clare - 8.0Scored 8.0

Great places to visit. We where only there for two nights. We enjoyed the waterfalls and the steam train ride. There are plenty of places to eat out. We saw lots of cyclists whilst traveling in our car. Found the area very dog friendly which suited us .Allison - 8.0Scored 8.0

Visited the nearby reservoir and Garwnant Visitors Centre -lovely trails and views. Also the Brecon Beacons were within easy reach. We ate at Nant Ddu the first night and shared 3 tasty side dishes between us. Not too far from 3 near locations where my Dad was born and lived in Penwhriceiber, Cefn Pennar and Mountain Ash. There was also a large screen TV with Netflix and Sky, and I believe there was a BBQ area and somewhere to lock your MTB, if you came here for Bike Park Wales. There were a good selection of breakfast items waiting for me in the kitchen along with tea and coffee. There were two electric heaters within the room which which kept it very warm.

The security was brilliant, especially with us bringing bikes as we were attending Bike Park Wales. Lovely comfy beds and the house had all the little facilities that you forget you need but really appreciate. Cannot recommend enough and will be staying here in future rather than using a chain hotel we usually stay with.

We stayed at Station House as we were visiting family in Merthyr Tydfil for Christmas. As well as off street parking, you also have access to a garage, so I imagine this would be a really great property if your visiting Bike Park Wales and it’s also very close to the Taff Trail. Great stay and will definitely return next time we are visiting family.

There are ample fuel stations and big shops/supermarkets nearby. The room was clean and had supplies of towels etc. Communication from the owners was good (although the 'suggestions' emails could have been cut down a little - one would have been OK). The property had free parking available in a large car park behind the property. Shower was fine.
