Having bought the stay on booking.com
It was from reception made very clear we were not important guests. Was told if we had booked direct from the property we would have had a better room, instead we got a very ordinary room to say the least. Reception told us they could do nothing as the booking was made via bookings.com
Having stayed at this place before to our great satisfaction, we were very disappointed and will never stay there again. I advise any person never book that place via booking.com or as us never book at that hotel.

We stayed here whilst passing through Odense. The location is fantastic. We stayed on the night of the first snow of the season, so everything looked like a fairy-tale. The rooms are basic, but clean and functional. The breakfast was nice with a good selection.

Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly.
Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly. Seems like every city corner is well taken care of. Modern buildings are very cool, too. H C Andersen's museum and the park being part of the whole composition is quite awesome! We spent two days walking around Odense, so I’d like to come back and explore what Fyn (the island) has to offer.

We were there for New Year and visited a restaurant called Værdsat. The 9 course menu, wines and semi-informal service were great.
We live just outside Odense and just needed a room to stay for the night due to Odense having atrocious public transport outside the city's postal codes and there being a "five wines" menu with the meal 8D.
Odense is a lovely town with lots of history, some of which is being (IMHO) vandalised by modern architecture, which some people will love. But it is a fairly sleepy town with only the HC Andersen attractions being of real note to outside visitors. But there is enough to do here for a weekend. Come in the summer though, as it can be a bit grey and grim in the cold season.
Parking can be a problem and overpriced shop leases (not enough competition and too much real estate in the hands of too few people who know each other) mean that the selection of shops is a bit limited with more empty leaseholds than I like to see.

The location was wonderful.
The location was wonderful. In my first series of comments regarding our hotel, I forgot to mention that there is no television in the rooms. For me, that was not a problem, but it might be for others.
Odense is a charming town with a very walkable downtown and easy parking.

As the native home to Hans Christian Andersen, the city is built strongly around him. But not exclusively, with other attractions including the downtown Sankt Cnud Church and the many surrounding parks. The entire neighborhood around Andersen's birthplace has been preserved in the 19th century Danish style. I found the cuisine was top-notch at Grønttorvet and Marcantonio

I came for the Han Christian Andersen museums but Odense is charming on its own. Very walkable, safe, clean and friendly. The HCA museum far exceeded my expectations; indescribably incredible. I appreciate Odense even more after visiting Copenhagen next. I didn’t research or do well with restaurants. I’m so glad I ended the stay with a visit to Egeskov Castle.
The breakfast was exceptional with high quality hearty as well as cereals as well as sweet components. Alkaline products like fresh carots and others were part of the choice. Even when the breakfast room was well-frequented, the atmosphere was really comfortable. The sleeping room was very good and the hotel was inside characterized by friendly brick architecture. Over average hotel architecture, indeed. It fits to the prosperous Odense. The hotel was close to the city and to most of touristic spots.
This is a cheap hotel, so that one should not expect much. If you want an extra service (like the bed sheets), you will pay extra, and the price will rapidly become comparable with the "ordinary" hotel. A definite advantage is that the hotel is directly near the railway station, close to the center of the city - but it is surprisingly quiet, so that sleeping is comfortable. The breakfast is so-so, cold sandwiches (but good choice), juice, instant coffee.
The breakfast was amazing. Great selection. Quality food and coffee selections. Plenty of seating. It felt spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal. There is a tram stop literally on one side of the hotel. It couldn't be any closer! Also within 1,000 ft of the train station, so it was easy to get to on foot. Also, there was a grocery within 400 ft. and a quick and easy walk to shops and restaurants., and the H.C. Anderson Museum.
Beautiful hotel, lovely spacious rooms. Nice design and lovely atmosphere all round both in room and communal areas. Located well in the city and close to train station. The staff were all wonderful and super helpful and friendly.
Special thanks to the lovely ladies on reception every day who were great (sorry I didn't get their names!). Breakfast was good too. Overall amazing stay, highly recommend.
The location is fantastic - close to the train station and just a few steps from the city centre and most attractions in Odense. Also, the building itself is old and charming, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming. And breakfast is just fantastic, with so many options and excellent bread!
The hotel's location is right in the city center. All important places are within walking distance. Check-in was smooth and without any problems. The hotel and rooms were clean. The rooms were spacious. There were 3 power outlets near each bed, which is sufficient for charging mobile devices. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
Very good location, just around 5 to 10 mins walk to the HC Andersen's House. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff are quite friendly. The cost of the hotel room is alright, considering that it is quite close to both the train station and the HC Andersen's House. Would stay here again if I visit Odense.
Very clean and well-equipped room and toilet.
The host is very kind, generous, and helpful.
Their breakfast option is also very good with 50dkk.
The location is also good, in between Odense station and the main street.
This small cozy hotel will add a lot of good feelings to your travel to Odense.
excellently located near the city centre, there are a bunch of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets just around the corner. the hotel offers coffee, tea, lemonade in the lobby at all times. the rooms are small but very comfortable for a few nights' stay. clean bathroom, hot water and comfy beds.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which featured a variety of different items. The afternoon coffee and fruit was also a pleasant treat. We could also leave our luggage at the hotel before check in and after check out while we explored Odense.
We loved the architecture and atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfasts were great, yet a nondairy milk was available only on the first day of our stay. We appreciated the convenient parking in the hotel yard and proximity of the city center.
Amazing hotel located right next to the train station. We stayed just one night but the facilities were outstanding!
Free hot chocolate and tea offered at night, amazing breakfast offered in the morning.
We couldn't have expected anything better!
Very good location , next to main train station, very close to city centre. Supermarket on walking distance from the hotel. Very helpful personnel as we came around 8.00 a.m. and we could leave our luggage in the hotel before check in.
Great and friendly staff, which made our stay very welcoming and comfortable. Hotel is also centrally located at the city centre which has a good connection with tram/metro. At the hotel is enough parking space.
Large room, good beds, nice breakfast. Very kind reception. Quiet location. We could rent bicycles for 100DK each at the hostel. We enjoyed very much visiting Odense by bike! The city center is 10min biking.
It is a good option with very nice staff. However, I had ended up paying a premium as the hotel was almost booked out so considering what I paid and what I got, it is hard to be satisfied.
