I came to Ruhpolding to watch the World Cup Biathlon race held there. The town is beautiful and easy to get to via auto or train. My hope is to return in the summer sometime and enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

Our stay included a local bank holiday and there seemed to be a lot of families with young children and babies staying at the hotel. Consequently, the pool ares and sauna were too overcrowded to use and there was a lot of noise in the leisure areas and dining room.
The grounds to the hotel are expansive and beautifully maintained and we were pleased to find there is a short scenic walk to RUHPOLDING , an interesting town with a good compliment of shops and cafes.
The rooms are cleaned every other day unless otherwise requested but they forgot to leave towels when they cleaned.
The reception staff are polite but seemed indifferent. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and professional.

We have visited Ruhpolding on many occasions but not for 4 years (covid etc). We returned to find a thriving community, busier (but comfortable) town centre than last time we visited & excellent local facilities.

A great little town with a lot of hiking tails, old houses, restaurants and shop. Great transportation possibilities (train, bus). We definitely prefer Ruhpolding over Inzell, Bad Reichenhall or Berchtesgaden.
This is a gem of a hotel for visiting this part of Germany or on your way to other areas. We were very happy with our short stay and found it exceeded our expectations at a great price which included breakfast. The room is very clean, large (family room), beautiful, and with wooden trim and carvings in traditional German style. The kids slept on the pull out couch which was good. Wi-Fi was perfect and the room was cool even with no a/c. Breakfast was very good and the host was helpful and nice- I highly recommend a stay here!
Beautiful hotel on beautiful location. :)
Our room was very nice and cozy and had it's own balcony.
EVERYTHING WAS SUPERCLEAN!
Staff/Hosts were wonderful (friendly, practical, reliable, approachable...).
As residents, we speak German, but hosts also speak English.
Breakfast was very nice. Cozy dining area. Nice self-service bar for evening snacks and drinks.
Internet was good. Parking was sufficient.
Room amenities were good.
We hope that we would be coming back. :)
Hotel Zur Post is amazing. Best ever..and we,ve certainly travelled a lot. It,s our 2nd running and we stayed a week. The management….breakfast, bar, evening, reception staff all so professional. Simply perfect. Everyone all smiley ….and friendly. So lovely to have on your week away from England. Very central to everything, ie. ski lifts, walks, ice rink, swimming pool, shops…most on your doorstep. Parking was FREE at the hotel. Can,t wait to go again ..January 2025.
The hotel is very clean. The staff is also friendly. Its a walking distance to bahn thats goes allup the mountain..
The sauna and pool area was also very clean.
On our last day we wanted to use the sauna before 17uhr and we requested them to turn on the steambath and sauna of wchich they gladly did..you can request the wellness area to open any time ..thats really cool.
Booked 2 x double rooms for a family of 4. Rooms were large and clean with a good shower. No breakfast is provided, but guests have the use of the dining room/ kitchen with oven, toaster etc. Plenty of parking, but a little bit outside the town, so a car required.
Ruhpolding is a pleasant small town with some good places to eat. Handy for the ski area of Reit im Winkl.
Ruhpolding is a beautiful alpine town with the best gravel biking I've ever experienced. The hotel is the perfect base for exploring with a tremendous breakfast and a wonderful dinner. The staff were courteous and kind, even with limited English on their part and no German on ours. We highly recommend it.
Our bavarian style appartaments were very spacious and cozy. The huge balcony had a view to the mountains. The hotel restaurant serves tasty national food at favourable prices. It is the perfect spot to start tours to Berchstegaden and the border of Austria is also nearby.
The location is simply amazing! Close to the ski lift in Ruhpolding, only 25 mins from Winklmoos. Close to nature. Its all you need for a great holiday.
The apartment was very comfortable. Big. Comfortable beds.
And, the staff was just great. They got feeling us at home!
The staff was extremely freindly. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good, for both breakfast and dinner. Great location for exploring Southeast Germany. We felt the cost of the room was well worth it.
The owners were exceptionally helpful: they made restaurant reservations for us and provided dairy-free alternatives (our son has a milk intolerance). The hotel itself is very comfy and pleasant. Would 100% recommend.
It was great with children. The staff were very patient and helpful. The hotel was very clean. I'm glad we stayed there. We are planning our next holiday there.
