Hotel Los Cielos Del Caribe, hotel in Cahuita

Located in Cahuita, a 12-minute walk from Blanca, Hotel Los Cielos Del Caribe has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities.

While I only had the chance to stay one night at the Los Cielos del Caribe hotel in Cahuita, Limon, it was a stay I truly enjoyed and won’t soon forget. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the owner and host, Tristam, made the stay all that much better. Situated on a hill in a lovely town, this hotel is a newer build with quality in mind. My 2-story room with king size bed was perfect – the AC worked great, the bed and linens were luxurious, the kitchen had everything I needed, and the view was just unbeatable. Plus, if you are a fan of nature, the location doesn’t get any better. There is a path to walk up to a lookout point at the top of the hill where you can enjoy a morning coffee while listening and watching the groups of howler monkeys – much closer here than anywhere else I visited. On the path you’ll find cool anoles and dart frogs and sloths too if you are good at spotting them in the trees. The pool and hot tub were amazing and there was a deck with a grill for afternoon cookouts. There are only a few rooms for rent, so you kind of feel a bit like family while you’re there. Tris made me a delicious breakfast with white guava juice and even added maraschino cherries to my beautifully sliced banana – a pure delight! He was also very helpful with my luggage because the hill is quite steep – and just really the nicest host I’ve encountered in a very long time. You can tell he loves this place and sharing it with guests – and rightfully so because it's simply a slice of heaven on earth. If you get the chance, definitely make Los Cielos a part of your Costa Rican adventure!

Ciudad Perdida EcoLodge, hotel in Cahuita

Ciudad Perdida EcoLodge features a rustic style and is housed in wooden-made cabins. Free WiFi access is offered, along with a tour desk and shuttle services for a fee.

We liked the lodge a lot, that it’s in the wilderness walking distance to Cahuita National Park, the beach, and the restaurants in Cahuita. The head of the staff was Gaia and she was very nice and efficient. We also liked the pool and the breakfast and the fact that for a nominal fee they did our wash and dried it.

Location was excelent!!! Located in the middle of the town: walking distance from the national park, restaurants, and the little port where the boat tours depart from. One block away from the main street. Also located in a not very crowded nor loud block. Also, we did not expect a kitchen with a fridge to use. That saved us a lot of money in restaurants. WIFI worked well and covered entire property. The hotel met our expectations according to the price I paid. Staff was super friendly. I would stay here again and again.

The tour in the park was excellent, the town is laid with things easily found we had good restraunts and ths services were freindly and helpful. The biggest drawback is the lack of bancos atimatico that works better The line was long and many people had to repeat the sequence of instructions to get anything yet the hotels asked for cash only. Very frustrating and scary if you didn't bring enough dollars or colony s The grocey store delived groceries a nd took a credit card. We had such a lai back experience.

Cahuita is a laid back town at the edge of Cahuita National Park. It is seeming in wildlife. You don't even have to enter the park to see the wildlife. We saw huge green iguana, common black hawk, families of capuchin, howler and spider monkeys, green basilisk, agoutis, herons, kingfishers - all outside the park. Inside the park we saw sloths, eyelash vipers, frigate birds and raccoons in addition to the other animals we saw outside. Beaches are pristine and nice to swim in. The neighboring town of Puerto Viego was another laid back village by the sea. A tranquil place to visit!

Cahuita was a friendly small community that showed so much love to us! Conventiently located near a beautiful beach, Playa Negro, and the food was fabulous. Lobster picked straight from the tank to our plate--delicious! Chef Doria at Caribbean Soul Taste was a joy and her food was just as amazing. Stopping at her restaurant is a must if you are in Cahuita. Another must is the Cahuita Nacional Park. We saw groups of monkeys and sloths and even a blue morpho butterfly in the park--and it's free! Would return to Cahuita in a heartbeat!

Cahuita has become crowded with tourists hoping to see the wildlife in the National Park, when you have so many tourists in the park it is difficult to view the animals because they just aren’t there, the wildlife will move deeper into the rainforest to escape the gaze of humans!!

Our hosts were outstanding offering suggestions about local attractions, and local foods. The kitchen and dining facilities were very good. When one of our group had a minor medical issue our hosts arranged a home visit by a local doctor, imagine that!. Downtown is a pleasant 20 walk away. We would like to upgrade our rating from a 9 to a 10, please.

This is a solid choice in Cahuita. Alberto the host is a super friendly stand up guy who comes with homemade breakfast every morning and never hesitated to help out and give good advise. He even called the airline for us to talk to them in Spanish when our bag was lost. The houses are simple but clean and cosy. We saw sloths nearby, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and heard the howler monkeys all the time. Close to a nice beach that is good for walks in the mornings and also a great restaurant within walking distance.

Casa Marcellino is a peaceful oasis in the beautiful town of Cahuita. The most beautiful tropical garden where you can observe lots of birds and some other wildlife. The cabinas are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The lodge has an excellent location close to playa negra and the town centre. Luciano was very welcoming and accommodating. He gave us a map of Cahuita and explained to us where everything was. We truly had the best time and would love to come back. Our only regret is to not have stayed longer!

Everything was great! Location was great (Cahuita isn’t too big), check-in was fantastic, we got lots of recommendations for the area and where to eat. the entire place was very clean, pool was great! it was also good to have parking within the compound- made us feel secure. The managers take special care to make sure you enjoy your stay. We booked this as our “cheap and cheerful” stop of our trip, not expecting much, but left feeling like we could have spent more time here. Would defo recommend to a friend.

I have been to Cahuita many times. Most of the cabins (Smith, Palmer Makanda, etc.) are all the same- basic, functional rooms with a shared kitchen. This ome has slightly nicer rooms and my room had a tv. The staff was friendly and the room smelled like it had been thoroughly cleaned. It also has a locked gate at night. Like the others it is close to the National Park, supermarkets, bank, bus (all less than 5 min. Walk)

The pool was a great amenity to have surrounded by lush green trees. The hosts were great and even dropped me at a slightly different location in town for a surf lesson I had booked. Matheo even organised a food delivery on my last night as I was feeling ill and delivered it straight to my door. Easy to walk to one entrance of the National Park which was great and called me a taxi when I wanted to go into Cahuita

The property is less than 2 minutes walk away from the best beach in Cahuita, the Black Beach. The property has a beautiful garden and even star fruit trees. Edward and Anna are so nice and sweet. They even offered free water/juice/beer for free. The property itself is like a small paradise, such a welcoming and relaxing place to be. and our special love goes to Pluto, the cute puppy.

The garden of Piscina Natural is a true gem and could easily belong to some luxury retreat! But gladly, the owners are very down-to-earth and we felt at home immediately. The rooms aren't large but have everything you need and there is a comfortable shared area with a kitchen. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Cahuita, but there are a few charming restaurants in the close vicinity.

Johssie was very welcoming and a helpful host who made sure to check that our stay was comfortable and helped if we needed anything. The place is walkable to everything in Cahuita, on the quiet end of town, and very close to Playa Negra. The kitchen had enough cookware to make the basics, and the internet allowed me to work remotely.

The cabinas are in between Cahuita and Playa Negra and a short (and safe but a bit dark, take a torch!) walk from both along a gravelly path. They are very near a really great little breakfast/brunch spot on the beach. The aircon was very necessary in Cahuita. The communal kitchen was a useful and nice addition.
