Very nice house with full facilities where I can cook my dinner. Location is close to Godfrey’s beach. The house is clean and big enough for 2 people. There are living room and bed room in Abbey on church. Wifi also worked well here. I had to take key at Stanley hotel and drive a little bit to Abbey on church.

The town of Stanley is quaint and lovely. The apartment was sparkling clean. The views were amazing. There are several decks and sliding glass doors to look out over the sea. Everything is within walking distance. We were able to walk to the sea to look for the penguins at night and see the wallabies on the streets after sunset. The hotel was enjoyable to sit and have a drink and converse with the people in the town.

Stanley is a unique location with a rich history.
Stanley is a unique location with a rich history. Staying at the Ship Inn helped us to appreciate this location and its history. Excellent eating places within easy walking distance - Stanley Hotel provided a very enjoyable meal; Hurseys is a must visit with great seafood dishes, with an array of other options. Stanley is very easy to get around both on foot and by car. Only one bowser for petrol provided a challenge, but is easily managed. A great place to visit.

Nicely set up for tourists, with a wide range of accommodation options. A good base for exploring The Tarkine Drive (and some short walks along the route). Stanley has specially designed, red-lit platforms for admiring the little penguins coming ashore in the evenings. There is a nice, wind-swept walk around the top of the Nut, which hosts a colony of pademelon.

Penguin viewing, walking the town and enjoying a great coffee at Marley’s and excellent takeaway fish and chips from Hurseys. We arrived at 8 pm on Day 1. Spent Day 2 visiting the Tarkine area then walked around Stanley. Day 3 we enjoyed the Harvest Market - excellent for fresh produce, craft and music.

Accommodation was superb and pub was just across the road. If we had more time, it looks like a lovely little town to walk around.
Definitely take the chair lift instead of walking up the hill. Then you have the energy to walk around the top of The Nut.

Stanley is a beautiful town with lovely houses and places to eat, drink and shop. A trip on the chair lift to the top of The Nut was excellent. Icing on the cake was seeing the little blue o penguins come home after a days’ fishing.

Herseys seafood was a big disappointment.. have abeBen traveling to Stanley for many years and up until this trip enjoyed the experience at restaurant... apparently new chef would not recommend you waste your money...we went to stanley hotel and had an excellent meal would recommend the hotel
Loved the location right on the Main Street and so close to everything. The cottage was quite perfect with lots of thought into what would make a guest’s visit extra special……candies, chocolates, lots of different teas to pick from, a decanter of port, and lots of breakfast goodies. We had a beautiful view from the cottage and wished we could have stayed longer than just the one night. There even was a Christmas tree up for the holiday season! Might come back to Stanley from Canada just to stay at Touchwood again!
Wow, this accom was a taste of luxury. Such beautiful rooms. Loved everything. So nice to stay here, really uplifting. The bath was so pretty and room for two. Bed and pillows comfy. Oodles of food included and left in fridge. Fantastic views. The first night was really windy so everything rattled as the wind howled, wild and thrilling. The second night was peaceful and calm, really quiet. Slept well both nights. Honestly, the only place I'd stay in Stanley.
We loved everything about the Inlet! We stayed in the Oystercatcher and it was incredibly well thought out with amazing attention to detail, and included everything that we needed to make it a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and cheese too - what a lovely gesture and great way to enjoy the view. We would have definitely stayed longer as it's in a great spot to explore Stanley and the north-west.

This is the best place to stay in all of Tasmania. There is absolutely nothing that could be improved on. It is beautiful, comfortable, and worth every penny. Amanda is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make your stay special and memorable. The continental breakfast is delicious too! Thank you for having us!
The best part of this place is its incredible view of Stanley. The kids loved the play area where they can play and see some very cute goats nearby. Fast internet, which is unfortunately not too common in Tasmania, felt like a blessing. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice and tidy, and heating was great.
Great accommodation so close to 'The Nut' which is why we chose to stay at Hanlon House.
We were upgraded to a room with the view of 'The Nut' many thanks for that it was a lovely surprise :)
Bed was so comfy and room was very clean. Had dinner at the local pub 'Stanley Hotel' and can thoroughly recommend them.
Lots of room in the flat, great location just outside Stanley, right on the water with a beach view from our room. Lots of little wallabies roaming around at night. Very helpful host. Probably our favourite place we have stayed in Tasmania so far and excellent value.
Fantastic location in the main street across the road from the hotel and easy walk to the main seafood restaurant. Also a 5 minute walk to the chairlift/path to take you to the top of the Nut.
Older cottage but homely and comfortable for our two night stay.
Quaint country styled room. Lovely area to wander about in. On a warm day it would be pleasant to sit outside & watch the birds.. Owners were very helpful. It is a short distance to Stanley for a meal & needed to do the same for breakfast.
I loved absolutely everything about this accommodation from cleanliness, facilities and decor. The owner was very helpful with what to do in the area. This accommodation was the best accommodation during our stay in Tasmania.
Stanley Seaview Inn exceeded our expectations.
The 3 bedroom apartment we were in was so spacious and had the most amazing view of all of Stanley and The Nut. The most beautiful sunrise we have ever seen.
Pen Cottage was great. Lovely renovated bathroom. Wood fire and Heat pump. Really comfortable beds and lounge chairs. Great size dining table.
Quality of food at Stanley Hotel was amazing.
The location of the accommodation right on the waterfront was much appreciated. The food and service provided by the Stanley Hotel (the owner of the accommodation) was superb.
Convenient location close to shops and nearby restaurants. Clean, cosy and hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the home made breakfast that was provided.
