It is nestled in the foothills of the mountain and provides stunning views over the Glaslyn valley. There is no substitute to waking up to such a view, or having a quiet drink late at night on the patio and seeing the golden sunlight move down the mountain. The managers instantly made us feel at home and went out of their way to help us as we toured Snowdonia, providing hot tips and sound advice. The food was fantastic, both the breakfasts and the dinners! You must try the banana bread at breakfast; it is delicious and is served up with honey gotten from their own hives. The dinners were provided by the expert hands of Paul and Kathy; just a day gone I already miss their cooking! The country house is perfectly situated and even for our longer excursions it took no more than an hour to get to either Conwy, Caernarfon or Harlech, or any of the trailheads.

The Firecat property offers a large garden, shared lounge and further land situated on the banks of the River Dyfi just a short walk away, with superb views over the Dyfi Valley and local waterfall, offering picnic and BBQ opportunities at further request. This was such a wonderful place to stay. My room was perfect and so comfortabe (and stunning); breakfast was exceptional (some of the best sausages I've ever had); and the dinner was Michelin-quality. Robin and Jane are some of the loveliest hosts and I can't wait to book again.

If you would like to discover the area, skiing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the country house can arrange a ski equipment rental service. Everything. It was clean and centre of the village. Hostess Sara was very helpful and friendly. great little touches such as crisps, nuts, pamphlets about local area, charging cords for phones etc, all toiletries. there was also a lovely outside patio to sit and look over the stunning countryside

The property has lake and garden views, and is 39 km from Snowdon. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We liked the location. The grounds were pretty and it was very peaceful. Good central location for exploring Snowdonia. The host was pleasant. The bed was big and comfortable.

The village of Rowen is just 1 mile away and the property offers free parking. Beautiful country house and the room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. Friendly and informative host, who ensured that we knew what was available in the area. Great breakfast served with extras, such as homemade lemon curd.

This Victorian house also features free on-site parking and a private garden. The property is excellently maintained and is a beautiful old house. Our hosts, Gina and Gareth were, well what can I say apart from congenial, friendly, helpful, courteous, loved a chat and a laugh. Gina went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. The breakfast choices were amazing and meant we didn’t need lunch. We had dinner on the Saturday night and the food was delicious. They are both great cooks!
