With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake... Breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety available. Dinners were faultless, we enjoyed every one. Staff were extremely helpful. It was lovely to be able to walk out of the back door of the hotel and down through the fields, past the sweet lambs, and right down to Bassenthwaite Lake and the little church.

Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

High Grassings lies in the heart of the Lake District with views of the surrounding fells. Our stay at High Grassings, Lake District Bed and Breakfast was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of breathtaking scenery, this charming B&B offered the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, providing personalized service that made us feel right at home. Each morning, we were greeted with a sumptuous breakfast that catered to all tastes, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The room was beautifully appointed, with attention to detail that ensured a luxurious and restful experience. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the views from our window were picturesque, offering a serene backdrop to our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features.... Breakfast at the Grasmere Brewery was lovely. I actually liked walking down the street from the cottage for breakfast. We loved Grasmere - the winding streets, the surrounding hills, the shops. I had chosen Grasmere as a place to stay because we wanted to spend a couple of days in the Lake District and I had read that it was one of the prettiest towns. It was exactly what we hoped for. Richard, the proprietor of Lake View Country House, was so nice and helpful in every way. He made us feel comfortable, welcome, and gave us a fantastic recommendation for a day hike near the house, and for restaurants.

Located in the heart of the Lake District and just 5 minutes' drive from Ambleside, Foxghyll Country House offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. Warm hospitality by the owners, Paul and Rachel. Thoughtful sumptuous breakfast. Spacious room with a great river and pasture view. Comfortable bed. Lots of trees and flowering plants in its 5-acre property. Our 3-night stay was very heavenly and relaxing. Pleasureable walking experience from village to village. Highly recommended for a 3~ 5 day Lake District experience.

With a beautiful riverside location, Rydal Lodge Hotel offers elegant Lake District accommodation, 2 miles from the centre of Ambleside. The place felt very homely, beautiful and located close to Mount Rydal. Breakfast service is amazing. Mark and Helena are excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. Breakfast was excellent. We loved having afternoon tea and scones in the drawing room, and a refreshing cider served while we read. Books about Beatrix Potter and a sunny window seat to snuggle up and read were very much appreciated.

Amidst the scenery of the Lake District, this family-run bed and breakfast provides rooms with free Wi-Fi and views of the fells. I love this place. I booked it last minute as I got a late start to my drive up north and didn’t get as far as I was hoping, but my stay here was a pleasant surprise and I’m so glad I got to stop here. Incredibly clean, comfortable, with clear thought put into providing anything a guest might want. Breakfast was delicious, and the view out the window while eating provided a great start to the morning. I would gladly go out of my way to stay here again.

Overlooking Lake Windermere, Lindeth Fell offers impressive views and free parking, just 5 minutes from Windermere Ferry Crossing. Warm, cozy, homely atmosphere. Very courteous staff, good food, beautiful rooms. Fabulous surroundings and view of lake Windermere.
