The hotel was also awarded by AA as Scotland's Hotel Of The Year 2013/14. It is a fabulous old hotel that has a warm and welcoming interior and beautiful grounds. There were snowdrops everywhere! The staff are all very friendly and caring. We had booked the suite and it was amazing. The food is superb. Dinner is a tasting menu of 7 courses every night and each course was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters with their white gloves were a lovely touch too! The hotel is very close to Peebles and there are plenty lovely walks in the area. The Tapestry of Scotland is a short drive away in Galashiels and well worth a visit.
