This property is absolutely exquisite and a true gem. Not only has it been lovingly restored to its historical roots but they have beautifully blended modern and rustic decor. This property offers many places to relax, whether it is just outside your room, in an open courtyard, an indoor reception area, the well manicured gardens, or an upper patio overlooking the vineyard. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well decorated a certainly beyond and expectations we had. The food and wine are excellent as are the hosts’ company should you be blessed to spend time with them. You will have the opportunity to learn more about wine (if interested) of which they are quite passionate. Their wine is of exceptional quality and we look forward to finding it upon our return home.

The property is a lovely estate a few kms out if Viseu that comprises a hotel, winery, tasting room and restaurant. The hotel is stunning; built of impressive granite and beautifully furnished. The decor is simple and elegant. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our bathroom had a spa tub that procided some nice relaxation after a day of driving. Our stay included a delicious and ample continental breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries, local breads, ham and cheeses, cereals, coffee, tea, juice and yogurt. We also were served freshly prepared bacon and eggs. We dined one evening at the restaurant and found the food to be excellent. There is a regular menu, as well as a 6-course prix fixe menu and also vegetarian and childrens menus. Everything we ate was well prepared and beatifulky presented.

The property was everything that the host had described in his listing and more! The breakfast that he brought to our doorstep at 8 o’clock in the morning was nothing short of unbelievably outstanding!
