The hotel exceeded my expectations and the location was fantastic, staff really friendly and always very accommodating and nothing is to much for them. We dined in the restaurant one night and had a suburb meal so compliments to the chef. I would definitely stay here again.

We were immediately welcomed and given a tour of the beautiful building, including the garden and the two lounges. Everywhere was kept toasty thanks to the fire places, and there were lots of books and board games available to pass the time. Our room was spacious, clean and kept supplied with lush hot chocolate, tea, etc. We had a fantastic view of the lake too. The staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. Had a lovely chat with Ed one day, then Angela the next! The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend grabbing at least one dinner there, and definitely go down for breakfast every day. Wonderful selection, and exceedingly tasty. Incredibly cooked by the owner and solo chef, Richard!

The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts.
