Wonderful location only a short drive to where I was fishing .The view from our bedroom window was breathtaking .We were served an excellent hearty breakfast each day chosen from a menu filled with choice .Our Host was most welcoming and helpful . It was an absolute joy to stay for 3 days .

Location is excellent - quiet and private but very close to amenities in Melrose. An excellent jumping off point for visiting the many houses/castles and gardens in the area. Breakfast was excellent with a range of options in a gorgeous dining room with lovely views across the garden. What makes Fauhope are the hosts - Ian and Sheila who could not have been more welcoming.

Although the room was located on the main street, it was very quiet at night time. The food in the restaurant was tasty and all the staff were friendly and helpful. A large car park was useful.

Our host Martin was friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and we made use of an attractive lounge to imbibe a wee dram (courtesy of Broomfields) before bed. Breakfast was good. The property is in a good location, close to Melrose.

The owners are warm and friendly and ensure that you have a perfect stay. Their house is spotlessly clean. The garden bedroom is peaceful and secluded. On arrival, tea and shortbread served in the lovely garden was a welcome treat. The breakfast was amazing with an excellent selection of delicious food served in a cosy dining room complete with log fire. We would highly recommend this property.

The cottage was beautifully designed, the rooms felt luxurious and the beds were very comfortable. The host left cake, wine and flowers, which was lovely. The garden furniture was much appreciated as the weather was so hot.
