Very smooth check-in and all staff were friendly and professional - Dylan was especially helpful throughput our stay. Lovely room overlooking the bay and breakfast was very good. Great location with a choice of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity and a wider choice also within walking / short taxi drive distance. Reception supplied towels for our trip to the beach.

If you are planning a trip along the garden route then Knysna is a must visit spot. The views across the lagoon and the Knysna Heads are amazing and so many options for accommodation from camping by the lagoon to 5* hotels.
It is also a good base to explore the Eastern end on the garden route right up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
There is also a number of fantastic mountain passes to drive up to the Karoo, but make sure you have a good vehicle and a good head for heights. Knysna is fantastic and well worth a visit.

As a place to stay, Knysna is rather small, and moreover less secure after dark than other places. Knysna and its islands/view points can e.g. easily be visited from Plettenberg where there is much more choice in terms of restaurants. 1 day is more than enough for Knysna.

The views are magnificent.
The views are magnificent. The surrounding areas are also very worthy of visits. Plettenburg Bay, Tsitsikamma, Sedgefield and Wilderness are excellent. Something great to do every day!
Knysna itself is a little run down and touristy, after all it straddles a motorway (N2), but there are places that are tucked away which are charming.....one goes there however for the views!

Knysna is a quaint town surrounded by lush forests and a stunning lagoon. The iconic Knysna Heads are simply mesmerizing. The clothing shops are a bit pricey and one has to ensure you have enough spending money to have a good time.
We enjoyed our meals at Thirty-Four South. Knysna is definitely a tourist
destination.
"Nyanza" means water and the property is both in view of and walking distance to the beautiful Knysna Lagoon. You can walk safely on a paved pathway in either direction to attractions such as Leisure Isle or Thesen Island. Love and care has gone into making guests feel welcome - the beds in the main bedroom were particularly comfortable. The shower had rejuvenating high pressure and abundant hot water - such a luxury. Small but perfectly formed, the little personal touches all made for a restful stay. We will be back.
We had a lovely room with a balcony which overlooked the lagoon and Knysna Head, the view was stunning. The hosts were very attentive and informative and even invited us to a small concert with food and drinks included. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and the chef managed to cook my scrambled egg to perfection, which is quite an achievement, we have stayed at many establishments over the course of our holiday, mostly five star, but only Candlewood and on other got the eggs right.
Paradise Found was a wonderful place to stay. This place has one of the best views of the lagoon and Knysna Heads. Every room has a patio where you can sit and enjoy the view. Johan and Dirkie were fantastic hosts and very personable. The breakfasts were delicious with homemade goods included ! We felt very safe at this location and in spite of load shedding we had power and hot water to shower.
I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a B&B in Knysna to stay here .
The location of Under Milkwood Resort is exceptional, sited as it is on the eastern margin of the Knysna tidal lagoon, with a fabulous view of the estuary and the famous Knysna Heads. Access to the lagoon is direct from the property waterfront and activities include swimming and paddling on boards, or sailing. The tidal nature of the lagoon brings low water opportunities to stroll across the clean white sand of the lagoon bottom or walk all the way to nearby Leisure Isle.
Location - situated right next to the knysna heads view point, you can enjoy breakfast while soaking up amazing views of the west head, thesan island and the lagoon.
Upgrade - the host was extremely kind and upgraded my booking to the suite.
Restaurant- Really good breakfast served daily - they cater for vegetarians as well.
The location of this Marriott Knysna Quays Hotel is very convenient for a overnight stay

\breakfast serviced by friendly staff ..very very good value . Close to resturuants and
shopping all within walking distance of Hotel and Harbour..
Nicely furnished bright apartment in a beautiful complex, just a few steps from the Knysna waterfront. Great for self catering in the well equipped kitchen - but also plenty of great restaurants around. We travelled with a baby and received a cot and some toys - really appreciated
The hotel is located at the shore of the Knysna Lagoon, 3 km from the city center, so It's tranquil and calm. I had a beautiful lagoon view at sunset time from my room. Additionally, all the staff are friendly and helpful. It's the perfect hotel for a relaxing vacation.
Breakfast was great. The hotel was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had everything I needed, coffee and tea facilities, a great location near Knysna waterfront, and other restaurants. The art and colourful decor were very much appreciated and enjoyed.
A fantastic apartment, set right on the waters edge, on the Knysna Lagoon. Very well equipped and easy access to the waterfront restuarants and shops, literally a few minutes walk away. The host, Urs, is very helpful and quick to supply all info required.🤙😎🇿🇦🇿🇦
The view of the Knysna Heads from the lounge and our patio (Fynbos Room) was even better than the photos! Lots of attention to detail, and overall the experience exceeded all of our expectations. Highly recommend.
The location and setting, its right on the lagoon with beautiful views, we had friends who were able to come and collect us from the jetty by boat. In walking distance to the waterfront and various restaurants
The place is very clean, safe and good garden view. Has all the utensils for Self Catering. Walking distance to the Shops. Great host and will definitely use the place every time I visit Knysna.
Fabulous location with incredible view over the lagoon. Very well equipped kitchen for self catering. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice bed and linens.
Lovely verandah with an amazing view over knysna. Quiet location with pretty garden. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
