We had two breakfasts, which were super yummy and great coffee.
Walla Walla is vibrant and charming! The downtown has MANY attractive tasting rooms - wine and other spirits - as well as a variety of restaurants and wonderful boutiques. Lots of art and music events. It's very walkable, with pretty, tree-lined neighborhoods close to downtown. Whitman College is lovely. The surrounding area is the gorgeous Palouse - beautiful wheat fields and vineyards.

Fun town with good restaurants and wine bars.
Fun town with good restaurants and wine bars. But don't forget to go out to the wineries. The surrounding area is so beautiful. If you have time, take a bike ride.
Walk to the park...they have an amazing park with an aviary. Nice place to spend a few hours.

We came in on a Sunday afternoon, Labor Day weekend. None of the wine taasting rooms wthin walking distance of downtown were open. We ended up at The Marc and had appetizers and wine - all delicious.
Our travel plans had us leavng town the next morning, but we would consider coming back, but not on a Sunday.

It's a cute little town; an oasis in what is otherwise an un-interesting agricultural area. There are lots of wine tasting rooms right in town which we liked because we'd driven all day to get there and wanted to be out of the car. Be aware that the wine tasting rooms all close by 6pm; we thought this was silly of them because we really wanted to do some tastings after dinner. Many good restaurants available; we had sushi which was fabulous and the quality was competitive with what we get in Seattle. We spent only the 1 night because we were transiting through from somewhere else, but it's best experienced if you can plan for 2 or 3 nights which allows for some day trips out to the wine estates. A great area, we are so lucky it's close to home.

Walla Walla is a cool place.
Walla Walla is a cool place. Its main street is colorful and vibrant. It compels you to park and walk up and down along inviting shops and restaurants. It's an older city relative to Washington--mid-nineteenth century. This is a good thing. I don't know why, but it appears architectural style is a casualty of World War II. I'm from back east, and the old campus of Whitman College takes me back to Old Virginia. This is Washington Wine Country, mind you, and wine people are uppity. Happily, the greater city affords escape when you need it. I liked the ambience and clientele of The Green Lantern. Check it out. They have a Bud Man tap pull on display. That, itself, is worth the trip. Walla Walla is also home to a semi-pro ballclub called the Walla Walla Sweets. How about catching a ball game for $15 a seat and $5 drafts? And don't miss Pioneer Park, its rescue aviary, and the whimsical Oregon Trail statue. Drive the neighborhood, too. Exudes charm. In short, we love the place.

If you enjoy seeing the architecture of cities, this one has some beautiful homes and old buildings. There's also a Human Bean at the Home Depot entrance and they make the best white chocolate mocha, Snowy of any coffee shop!
If you are staying in Walla Walla, this is the ideal location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and this motel is located in the heart of the very beautiful downtown location, near shops, restaurants and a very well stocked grocery store. There are micros and refridgerators in the rooms and some of them have private patios perfect for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening! If I have occasion to travel to Walla Walla again, I will definitely book a room here!
Reasonable price, good parking. Good a/c. Great view of the surrounding countryside.
Bit run down and in need of decorating though everything worked.
It had a lift, which was useful.
Light basic continental breakfast available in small rather warm breakfast room dominated by loud TV.
We liked Downtown Walla Walla - attractive, up to date and with a buzz. Also interesting location for various sightseeing - natural and historical.
We did not use the swimming pool.
The property was beautiful inside and out and the staff went out of their way to meet our needs. The location was perfect for walking to the wineries and restaurants. The gardens and hot tub were a perfect way to end a day of wine tasting. Everything exceeded our expectations and I can honestly say it is the best place we have ever stayed in Walla Walla.
Old charming hotel with lots of character. Loved all of architecture, carved wood, and ornate furniture. We would definitely stay there again. A little more expensive than some other hotels in the area, but none of them can hold a candle to the ambience of this facility. Definitely worth the price.
The staff including the owner was on site and willing and happy to help with anything. When we left something behind, I received a text and call. They were so accommodating and had all their bases covered. Would like to recommend to anyone interested in exploring the Walla Walla area
The nicest surprise, was that the pool is back in operation. Otherwise, this is a great choice if you are visiting Whitman college or looking to spend a nice evening sampling wines and eating along the Walla Walla main drag. Simple but well-kept rooms in a nice facility, very clean.
Lovely Historic Hotel!! Grand spaces, nice restaurant, Bistro, Breakfast included, parking free. Right downtown! Walking to great shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Great facilities for weddings, events, meetings. Excellent value.
The staff were very pleasant, the hotel was on the Main Street close to shops and bars. The room was very clean, had a lovely retro fridge. Bed and pillows were comfy.
Clean, quiet room and comfortable with a quiet AC unit. Good location near center of Walla Walla. Plentiful parking.
Beds and pillows made for a great sleep.
This place was awesome! So we’ll done. Staff was great and paid attention to all the details! I would highly recommended this to anyone visiting Walla Walla!
