Phoenix is a great city. Restaurants are wonderful.
Phoenix is a great city. Restaurants are wonderful. Lots to do in the museum district with its parks, exhibitions, and friendly people. It's better staying downtown. Definitely avoid the airport area as this is not safe. Grand Canyon is wonderful but a +4 hour drive.

Downtown has been under road construction for years.
Downtown has been under road construction for years. Parking and navigation are a nightmare. There is a homeless problem. I was approached by aggressive panhandlers continually. Uncared for mentally ill people wander this area in large numbers. Parking and hotel rates are now unaffordable. Surrounding areas such as Flagstaff and Anthem are much more comfortable and safe.

We went for a baseball tournament in Tucson, but flights were cheaper to Phoenix. Airport was really busy and a little confusing. The airtram destinations to get to the rental car place were not clearly marked to pick up the rental car, but returning rental car was very easy. We enjoyed some sightseeing at the Hole in the Rock park. Very nice with awesome views! Easy "hike" - about 5-10 minutes to the top with steps. Only 10 minutes from the airport. If in town only for a little bit, it was a quick and easy, but well worth it, sight-seeing trip.

I have lived in Arizona for many years, and yes, Phoenix is now a metropolis. Traffic sucks unless you travel on Sundays and off times. I love the many amenities of the city, but it lacks the character of other cities. Keep in mind, that the Phoenix metro area also includes Scottsdale, Glendale, Tempe, and other cool places, so there is charm if you know where to go. In the heart of Phoenix's downtown area, there are also some great museums, professional sports, and other attractions, If you know Phoenix, there is a lot to love, as a tourist, you may not have the time to uncover the hidden gems.

We were supposed to have the entire day on a layover, but our flight was 5 hours delayed so unfortunately we did not get to go to the botanical gardens nor the zoo - both of which are quite close to the hotel and airport. But we did eat at a great Italian restaurant recommended by the hotel staff - Adela's (separate review) - nice selection of free movies on a very large TV.
This is a budget friendly, centrally located hotel if you have a night or 2 in Phoenix. Initially, there was a discrepancy between the room we booked and what we were assigned- the manager on duty immediately gave us the room we had booked. The room was clean, had good air conditioning and good shower pressure. Grab and go breakfast includes coffee, oatmeal, muffins and granola bars- a perfect little quick snack.
Pro-tip: if your room is missing a hairdryer, borrow one from the front desk.
The staff was very nice. We are a traveling band and got in VERY early morning. They got us in our room by 11am and we were able to get alot of rest before that nights concert. They also gave us trucker parking for our van and trailer, we immediately noticed all the cameras in the parking lot which made it feel safe for all our gear. We play Phoenix often, this hotel will now be our go-to for Phoenix. Also it was nice to actually have a bar and restaurant connected to the hotel.
This is one of my favorite hotels in Phoenix! I have stayed here multiple time with my family. The breakfast is great, great pool and awesome ambience. They offer complimentary laundry usage on the first floor which is great! The rooms are very clean and exceeded my expectations and they have mini kitchens with silverware, plates etc. The staff is always very friendly as well. I truly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean relaxed stay.
1) Hotel easy to reach from all over Phoenix.
2) Staff very friendly and helpful.
3) Room very clean. Enjoyed my balcony on the third floor. No junction door to neighbor room in my room, that is what I like and expect. OK, carpet was a bit older, but clean.
4) Housekeeping also excellent - every day new coffee pads have been provided.
5) First Watch Restaurant was only 100 yards away - very good.
It has been the best hotel experience during our 2 weeks travel discovering the grand South-West America states. The room style is just as our taste, comfortable bed, high quality and abundant breakfast, wonderful personnels and waiters who served us at table. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the jacuzzi as well. We would certainly stay here again if come back visiting the Phoenix!
Once we got the room we booked we were delighted with our choice. The staff are really helpful, the breakfast is good and the pool/gym are small but fine. The location is excellent if you don't mind walking into downtown. The hotel does run a free downtown and airport shuttle on the half hours. There is free tea/coffee in the lobby and snacks to buy if you don't want shop.
Madalyn, at the front desk (downtown Phoenix) was amazing I was super impressed with her!! I did not have a chance to enjoy breakfast at your place. I stayed in room 2134 and the nozzle to the shower, (how to turn on the water), was very very loose, I thought it was gonna fall off..... I really thought the nightlights around the bottom of my bed, were an added bonus!!!
Although I didn't get breakfast at this hotel, I did see how big the cafeteria was and they also have a great coffee machine for coffee near the entrance. The location was perfect because it was literally in downtown in Phoenix so it was easy to navigate through the bars, restaurants and attractions. Overall if I come back to Phoenix, this a hotel I would book again!
The location was perfect, everything was a short walk away. The rail and bus stop is also nearby to go further downtown Phoenix. The staff was very responsive and everything went well without even seeing them at all, very quiet and secure place; it was far better than a hotel for sure. The pictures on the site are exactly what you get.
Hotel included a mini-water park with the cost of the hotel. With the heat wave happening in Phoenix, it was well appreciated to have multiple pools to cool off in during our stay. Hotel was easy to get to from the airport and there were numerous restaurants and services around the hotel.
Everything, spa, shower, cleanliness. The double sinks, walk-in extra bedroom (just a huge walk-in closet). The dresser. This is the absolutely best place to stay in Phoenix Arizona. It was my 2nd time and I tried to extend but couldn't. Definitely try to book again.
The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The huge bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. The location was very good with easy access to Phoenix and Scottsdale. Plenty of local shops and restaurants to choose from.
This was an amazing hotel, it was clean, well organized, comfortable, modern and well cared for. the room had a full kitchen, a washer/dryer and a really nice walk in shower. Truly a luxury experience. 100% will use for every trip to Phoenix!
When I unexpectedly found myself in Phoenix for the night, this hotel was easy to book and close to the airport. Check-in was easy and fast. The room was fine - clean and quiet. It wasn't too fancy, but perfect for a night between flights.
Great location, clean and big room and helpful staff. I really loved the hydration stations, I was at Phoenix when it was more than 110F and it was great having fresh water avaliable. I enjoyed so much my stay, thank you so much
Nice room and absolutely clean. You will find a lot of details that show that the hotel is thinking about what you might need during your stay. Location conveniently near the airport
