PS has improved since my last visit, COVID is in the rearview mirror and the town is alive again! The homeless situation is very much improved! The Zoo is a must-see as well as the Air Museum! Don't forget to visit the reservation for some great hikes and hopeful big-horn sheep sitings! And don't forget the tram!

Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass...

Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass market tourist town, with 2 major, long streets that include many big & small shops, restaurants, bars/clubs, & a 3rd side street that also has some of same but is more run-down & busy with 'drive-thru' local traffic & many condo complexes, some of which look somewhat 'run-down'. Still, PS is luckily located right below a moderatly high series of desert mtn peaks which makes for a 'different', scenic Backdrop. While there could be even more semi-tropical Flowering plants placed downtown, there are certain areas where they stand out, making for some incredible visit-Pics. Other than a Casino& hotel complex a block or two away from downtown, the rest of PS seems old & run-down, but, now old desert towns tend to look that way. Also, there are some other interesting, and even more upscale/modern towns just 4-5 miles south along Palm Canyon Dr. (or hwy 111), that are worth visiting or staying in (though usually at higher cost).

Loved the vintage vibe and history of the hotel. Very clean. Alex takes care of everything from checkin to maintenance. Very efficient. Appreciated pet policy being that it is such a small common space. Place could use new towels and linens. However the size of the bungalos made up for it. Really enjoyed our stay and would def consider staying again.

We love Palm Springs and have stayed at several properties there, but after our stay in the (glorious) Ricardo Suite at the Velvet Rope we have a vacation home to return to from now on. David Rios who designed all the suites and was our host, plus Kevin and Jeffery were as warm and accommodating as can be! We were delighted with every aspect of the hotel (touring many other suites there was also a visual treat), terrific pool deck, and we look forward to our return!!

Room was clean, decent size, and had been updated a little (they had replaced carpet with a hard floor, which is nice because it seems like carpet in older hotels is what retains old smells). For the low cost (it was less than half the price of almost everything else we found in Palm Springs that weekend) and some negative reviews, we were expecting a seriously grungy hotel room. But it was actually pretty nice. If you're only going to spend around $100 a night, don't be upset when you don't get the Ritz-Carlton.

The Alcazar was perfect for our babymoon in Palm Springs! The hotel was very clean, the pool and common areas were stunning, the rooms were large, beds were very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again, as the location was close to everything and had many great spots within walking distance. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the pool compared to some of other more “party” hotel pools. Everyone at the front desk and throughout the property was great! Would highly recommend.

We picked the hotel for its style and decor. It lived up to that - really captures the Palm Springs vibe. The owner/manager seems lovely and well-intentioned. I think her staff group, or her management of the staff, was letting her down . It's just about walking distance to downtown. There's a nice big pool which the whole family enjoyed. Like I said above, it would potentially be a nice self-catering experience if you had no kids and were happy with everything provided at the start.

OMG! I can not say enough about this property! it is super clean, cute, Palm Springs vibe for days. We stayed in a king size room with a a kitchenette- bed was supreme- the decor was clean and classic PS! The pool was Zen- and the continental breakfast hit the spot. Dont bring small kids here- not sure if it’s 21 and up but it should be. Easy Uber rides to local restaurants and shops. The casino isn’t far either. Absolutely recommend this property for couples! Beautifully designed, dog friendly, warm and welcoming vibe… everything we could possibly have needed was available at our fingertips. Really thoughtful touches throughout the hotel. We feel lucky to have stayed at the beginning of Jazz Hotel’s journey. This was a rare gem of a find for us and I’m certain it will find success in the Palm Springs boutique hotel scene. We thought the online photos were better than the accommodation in person. Location was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. We will keep an eye on the reviews, and maybe stay again when we are in town for Modernism Week in 2026! The Bed was very comfortable. Life House could separate itself from the rest of what's on offer in Palm Springs with great food to attract patrons to stay or eat. All the best and thanks for the stay.

The breakfast was such a delightful surprise. It was, as expected, nothing too fancy, but the food itself was so good! Every morning the talented cook made a deliciously creamy and perfectly cooked frittata and a fresh homemade granola that one might have expected in a $20 artisanal bag. The hotel itself was comfortable and quiet and met our needs for a few days' getaway in Palm Springs.

Cute boutique hotel that takes you back to the classic days of 'ole Palm Springs. I didn't have a chance to use the pool or spa, but it looked great! Away from the crowded downtown strip and not much near the hotel to walk to, but that was okay for this trip. Compared to the prices being charged in town, this hotel was a great under the radar spot to get some R&R.
