It was a walking distance from The French quarter so there was lots to do. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful when we asked them about parking. The Kickback was amazing and felt like a full meal for us even though it was described as snacks.

The home of jazz, intriguing New Orleans evokes images of Louis Armstrong, wrought-iron balconies and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine. Louisiana’s largest city, in the heart of the Deep South, the ‘Big Easy’ is being regenerated in the wake of devastating hurricane Katrina.
One area relatively unscathed was Bourbon Street – where jazz saxophones ring out of traditional bars interspersed by others offering more colourful nightlife. There are several New Orleans hotels near Bourbon Street, spread around the French Quarter with its distinctive Creole architecture.
To the south is Jackson Square, dominated by the Disney-esque St Louis Cathedral. Horses and carts wait patiently by the square, and locals set up their stools and start playing catchy tunes. Just behind is the legendary Mississippi River whose waters are still plied by paddle steamers.
From the river you get great views of the CBD skyscrapers and beside them is the huge Louisiana Superdome sports venue. Booking.com has several hotels near the Superdome, including some on Canal Street – a historic road where streetcars and the famous New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival pass down.
In the northern suburbs is New Orleans City Park, one of the oldest US parks and larger than NYC’s Central Park. Waterways lining it flow into large Lake Pontchartrain bordered by a bayou – the typical wetlands of the state.
New Orleans is a unique American city with a unique culture.
New Orleans is a unique American city with a unique culture. The creole/Cajun food is legendary and it is almost impossible to get a bad meal. The nightlife on Bourbon Street is not for the "faint of heart" but even a quick walk thru early in the day is a fun experience that you will not find in any other American city. And, don't forget the beignets at Cafe du Mondo - don't think about the empty calories, dig in, and enjoy!

Absolutely loved it.
Absolutely loved it. We stayed on the French quarter and thoroughly enjoyed the shops, cafes, and architecture of the area. You can get to so much just by walking which we did a lot of. There is a Walmart just a few miles away if you need other supplies. The only down fall was there is a large amount of homeless in the area. They are not a bother to people, just could be a culture shock since they sleep on the sidewalks. We would eat breakfast at Envie Coffee and Cafe nearly every day. They had a great variety of pastries, coffee, and wonderful omelets and bagel sandwiches. There is parking along the streets and lots of one-way roads so watch out. We up paid for our gated parking lot at our hotel vs parking along the streets. Well worth it to ensure our vehicle was kept safe. We stayed at Le Richelieu, and it was fantastic and pretty centrally located to all the shops including the French market. Another downfall is that Bourbon Street can get pretty crazy after 8 pm and even the locals will tell you to avoid walking around the area after dark. Stay in well-lit areas and to main streets if you do travel after dark.

Bring your shoes.
Bring your shoes. Not the place to be cute and it’s a very walkable city. Uber is pricey depending on where you stay and Bourbon Street is full of rotten fish smells and debauchery. I will visit again but stay on the quaint part of the French Quarter. It’s a very dirty city so don’t bring your best duds and be show offey cause it ain’t that type of party.

Amazing city with great vibes, music, bars and entertainment options. There are musicians on every street corner, the party goes 24/7, with people dancing on Bourbon street all night and overall happy, chilled vibe. Great food, the French District offers a lot to see, you can do shopping in the outlet store. Definitely a must-see location in the US!

What I liked most was the variety of authentic foods, the shops there had all the various souvenirs that reflected the city, the trolley rides were accessible, landmarks were posted, free maps everywhere, and helpful street people.
Of course the undesirables in the street were unavoidable but not bothersome. Didn't walk after dark.
Would have been nice if some open air jazz clubs were close by within walking distance.
Perhaps more foot police presence at night would create a safety factor for walking.
The weather was perfect.
The river boat experience was as expected.
The apartment is extremely spacious, clean and centrally located. I wanted to stay in a less busy area between the French Quarter and Garden District. One of the two bedrooms was small with no windows, but that actually makes it easier to sleep. You can, understandably, hear a lot of noise from the streets in the large rooms with windows. The best thing is that they may allow early check in by request. I was 100% happy with my choice to stay here over other hotels.
Historic old mansion with New Orleans style and character. Quiet residential area and walking distance to French quarter. A lot of space, comfortable beds, kitchen area. No lift and steep stairs (going up and down on the second floor with the luggage – it was something!) but we felt it was the modest pay for feeling like in the 18th century ;-)
The building was absolutely beautiful and clean. We really enjoy the experience!
We had to quickly rebook to this hotel when our previous hotel had a $150 non-refundable pet fee. This hotel only $25. Walkable to French Quarter, super helpful staff, nice rooms, decent breakfast, and parking $20 at nearby garage. For a downtown hotel, it was a reasonable option. The air conditioning seemed to be either really cold or not cold enough, but we made due.
This hostel is amazing and I will definitely come back. The communal areas such as living area, kitchen are great and spacious. Dorms were really good and beds were so comfy! Staff were really nice, I met quite a lot of people which made my stay memorable!
Last but not least, location on Canal street is great, easy to walk to the French quarter and Bourbon Street.
This place is by far the best place I have stayed near the French Quarter. The parking is cheaper than most facilities at $28/day and the garage/hotel elevators and doors are only accessible by door key so I felt safe. They have complimentary breakfast and afternoon drinks. I wish we were able to stay longer but will definitely be back.
The location is outstanding, perfect for exploring the French Quarter, while the staff were all friendly and helpful. The large, comfortable room was surprisingly quiet given how close the hotel is to the center of nightlife in New Orleans. The bar was lovely, offering good live music in elegant surroundings.
Location was excellent! Minutes to Frenchman St and the French Quarter. Hotel entrance and courtyard were vintage New Orleans. Reception was accommodating, luggage storage, information, taxi. Quiet street, private entrance. My room was spacious, clean, coffee machine, toiletries. AC worked well.
Nice flat very well located 2 minutes walk from the French quarters (so all the advantages without the high level of noise even though constructions at night during my stay).
Very comfortable. Very spacious and with roof top swimming pool.
Close to all attractions in New Orleans.
The room was great, the staff friendly and welcoming. Hotel was within walking distance to all of the downtown attractions we wanted to visit. One block to Canal Street. Easy walk to Snug Harbour, French Quarter Markets, Harrah’s. Will stay here again!
I loved the overall feel of the hotel. It had a lot of character and old world charm, but was updated and comfortable. The location was walking distance to the garden district houses and several restaurants. Short ride away from the French Quarter.
The hotel was perfectly located to everything in the French Quarter. The room was clean and the staff was great. This was our first trip to New Orleans. If we ever get a chance to go back, we'd definitely stay at the St. Christopher Hotel again.
The hotel was centrally located and we were able to walk deeper into the French Quarter, to Frenchman Street, to the Riverwalk and even to the Garden District. The staff was nice. Our room was very clean, had nice high ceilings and was spacious.
The Hotel location was perfect. We were able to walk to the Canal Street, Bourbon St. riverfront and Jackson Square within minutes. Easy to catch the trolley for Garden district and the River front, as well as the French Quarter tourist spots.
A hotel situated in the middle of the action in New Orleans, a good clean room with nice beds. Although it was in the middle of the French Quarter with all the action the rooms were well isolated so hardly any noise from outside was experienced
Unbeatable Location in the middle of the French Quarter. Typical beautiful but old fashioned New Orleans house. The parking garage was full when we arrived but we got help to find a free parking place
