perfect location for us. just outside of the craziness of the city, but on the trolley route. parking is pricey in town, so use the trolley. (it's free!) the visitor center for the park is 15 min away. can walk to several restaurants and attractions if you don't want to wait for the trolley. a nice sized refrigerator in the room was handy. bed was large. shower was hot with plenty of pressure. room was good sized. free coffee in the room and in the lobby. all of the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. air conditioning was quiet.

Gatlinburg is a one strip town of wineries, shineries, and some adventure parks. BUT, it sits on the north end of an absolutely gorgeous national park that is free to enter and explore. Use the free trolley if you can, because all public parking on the strip is $20 one entry and travel on the strip is slow and easily frustrating. The mountain attractions like Ober, Anakeesta, and Skypark are the best parts and definite to-do's. Restaurants are mostly chains and it was difficult to find "local flavor". All the emphasis on booze means you will run into drunken tourists while walking the strip. Stay a week, do some outdoors stuff, explore the Smokies.

I should have done more research on what to do outside of Gatlinburg. The main town was a tourist trap with the chain restaurants and souvenir shops, old time photo shops and taffy candy stores. Parking was between $10-$20 at each lot, and it was crowded for end of April. Aside from the skywalk, I wasn’t too impressed. However driving along rt441 through the Smokies was the biggest highlight of the trip. It’s a stunning location, just find something to do outside the hub.

This was our third time to Gatlinburg for more than one night. One time we camped but we were too far out of town. Last summer and this spring we stayed at an inexpensive hotel in town. We love being able to walk to different restaurants and shops. We liked Crockett's for breakfast but be sure to go early - before 8:30 because there are long lines otherwise. We also enjoyed the Cherokee Grill which does take reservations and the Best Italian cafe and Pizzeria. The pizza was very good New York style pizza. For fine dining, the Greenbriar is off the beaten path and hands down one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant. It is pricey so I wouldn't bring children there. We enjoy the hiking and did a nice hike up Chimney Tops to the lookout. It took us 3.5 hours up and back down. I also highly recommend Cades Cove. If you like biking ,they close the 11 mile loop to cars on Wednesdays. We biked it and saw 11 bear in 11 miles! The free trolley is great for getting around Gatlinburg but can be a long wait and very crowded.

We had such a blast even with our 15 month old son, our 14-year-old loves going to pigeon Forge to ride the go carts. Dicks last resort is definitely a go to for dinner, but you have to be able to take the comedy in raunchiness. So much fun! The hospitality was amazing 🥰 I love going to the candy store along the strip right past the rolling ball. They have such a selection of gummy‘s and that is one of my favorite things. The Ripleys arcade and gift shop is really fun too they have rubber snakes and two headed animal stuffed animals. Would definitely recommend anybody. Even the adult side of things was fun 🤩
The location of the hotel in Gatlinburg was excellent. Within walking distance to downtown attractions/restaurants. Even though the hotel was in an excellent location, when you are on the property of the hotel it was very quiet and relaxing! Enough parking and in great locations based on your room location. Felt secure and safe. Indoor pool was excellent since 2 of our days were rainy. The hotel is right on the river with balconies hanging right over the river. The sound was so relaxing and the view was incredible!
It was an older motel but it’s been renovated very nicely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They work very hard to keep everything nice and clean. Other than the occasional road noise it was a very quiet stay. You’re in walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg and several eating establishments. Got to see bears when we checked in and when we checked out! It’s not a big budget hotel but it’s clean, updated and the price is extremely reasonable. I would recommend staying there.
The hotel is very centrally located in Gatlinburg. It provides parking for residents, which proved to be essential during the Labor Day weekend as everywhere was very busy. The swimming pool was good to use after a day in the mountains.
The hotel has character and interest. The town is quite unique and, for us English, gave us an intriguing view of American culture. There was never a dull moment.
It is also a perfect base for exploring the north side of the Smoky Mountains.
Great location! Just out of the Great Smokies National Park, with access to the Motor Trail; only 3-5 blocks from the main street in Gatlinburg! Pretty much within walking distance from all the action downtown. Hotel room had plenty of space, pretty quiet location; overall felt very comfortable for a stay. Friendly staff with super easy check in/out; well spoken and well informed from the area. Best hotel experience I have had in a really long time.
The location is the perfect spot to be in Gatlinburg. Literally on the river and right behind the strip. You could walk everywhere. Just park the car and forget it! And the hotel itself--the staff, the pool, the breakfast--was perfect. We had our own little balcony, and everything was so picturesque and quiet. The hotel was completely booked, but the rooms were so quiet you couldn't tell you had neighbors at all.
The Gatlinburg Inn is in a wonderful location close to everything on the strip. Location provides for excellent views of the skylift and mountainside. The front porch area with rocking chairs and a gas fireplace is a great place to unwind when you get done shopping or sight seeing. Actual breakfast is provided by the staff and was very good, this place is closer to a bed and breakfast than a hotel.
Our 7 year old son had a blast playing in the indoor and outdoor pools. The pool side cafe was pretty good and much better priced than heading into downtown Gatlinburg. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A short walk or trolley ride and you right downtown. With it being in Gatlinburg, for the price it was a great place to stay!
This is my 7th time staying here. It's a no frills hotel but our stay is always pleasant! Right on the main drag in downtown Gatlinburg! The price is excellent and staff friendly! Why spend all your money on lodging when you only sleep & shower there? I always recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Gatlinburg.
The hotel room was pleasant and it is possible to park the car just in front of the room. Breakfast is also served in morning.
The hotel is adequately located in the heart of Gatlinburg which is a surprising "theme park-like " town- which needs to be visited at least once in a lifetime (may be not twice!).
We have stayed in 10+ hotels in the Gatlinburg/pigeon forge area, but this is by far our favorite. Ever since our first stay here we haven’t been anywhere else. The rooms are all big spacious suites and the hotel is close distance to everything. The hotel is also one of the cheapest in town.
The hotel was very clean and quite convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. We parked our car and walked. The rooms were nice and spacious
. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a pool but we didn't use it.
It gave the "lipstick on a pig" feel. Especially the photos online made it look nicer than it really was. For $40 extra dollars we could have been more comfortable at a nicer hotel.
The bears that were close to the hotels.
Wild life is the best here.
It was perfect located to go walking to the downtown.
A lot of stuff to do in Gatlinburg.
