One of Eastern Europe’s oldest cities and the Ukrainian capital, Kiev is a hospitable city with plenty to offer: from its historical heritage to inspiring architecture and modern commerce centres. So jump on Kiev’s impressive metro and enjoy the ride!
The city features many places of worship with golden-domed and cave monasteries, orthodox churches and cathedrals. The most famous ones include the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most important monasteries and founded in 1077 by St Antoniy. The other is St Sophia’s Cathedral housing the world’s largest collection of frescoes and mosaics from the 11th century onwards.
Kiev is not only known for its sacred buildings; it is also very rich in the people’s history. Over 40 different museums are visited by millions of guests every year. It includes the Museum of the Great Patriotic War with a stunning, more than 100 metres high monument of Mother Motherland.
After a day of sightseeing, make sure you visit local bars and restaurants for a selection of Ukrainian cuisine: the delicious Borscht, pancake-like Mlyntsi or the unique Kvas, which is a brewed bread drink.
Whether you’re flying to Boryspil International or Zhulyany airports, the centre of Kiev is just a short ride away. With over 280 properties on offer, Booking.com has a selection of apartments and hotels near the airport and in the centre.
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5...
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5 stars eating plačeš and many fun plačeš too.. loved how affordable transport was using metro and buses and in general even with the war the city is still intact and safe. People exaggerate Kyiv to be a war zone but it really isn’t . Life is going on just fine 😍

Kiev is a world class city.
Kiev is a world class city. It is splendiferous and beautiful. Get there if you can. You will thank me. Be brave. Visit Kiev now..or wait until the nonsense ends and the hordes descend upon it, which will happen when commercial air service resumes.. Kiev will flower. The Ukraine is wonderful. Stand with Ukraine.

Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales...
Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales in central Europe. What makes it very special is the hills and for a viewing point you do not need to look for rooftops of restaurants or business centers - Kyiv can be viewed from a thousand angles from a height just by walking around it. It's especially interesting to know the historical context and to see a map of the city in the 11th century.

Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia.
Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia. Constant alarms of rockets flying by. Curfews at 23:00. Police will stop you and demand to see your passport and question you about the reason to be in ukraine. Walking after sunset can be dangerous, thieves might target your belongings. Make sure you carry medical insurance with evacuation. Make sure your insurance can provide immediate payment to emergency facilities otherwise you won't get any treatment. Or pay in cash in order to be treated.
Hotel Domus is on a quiet street with cafes in the heart of Podil neighborhood. They have free private parking with security cameras (unheard of in Kyiv). Rooms have air conditioning, refrigerator, and a desk. The shower has the best water pressure in all of Ukraine and plenty of hot water. The staff were especially nice and helpful and went out of their way to help me. I arrived in a big truck and they put cones out to reserve parking for me on the street in front of the hotel. I will stay here every time I come to Kyiv. My favorite hotel.
More or less new hotel build based on international standards and with smart location of every interrior item, nothing to add. Location is where it is. In case there is plan to travel with train accross Ukraine, hotel has perfect location. In case you wish to explore Kiev, it is not the best location because distance from the central city areas. If you prefer walking then again this is perpect place. Good international breakfast as in every Ibis.
Location is really close to exchange office, market and metro. All the things a tourist needs. Only 1-2 stations to city center with metro. Also, it costs 300 to boryspil airport, around 100 to/from city center with bolt's taxis. Staff was helpful and kind. Reception is on the 3rd floor so you can easily bring company to the hotel without someone staring at you. Rooms feels secured with 3 step security.
Fantastic accommodation in the very city center of Kyiv. Friendly staff and great breakfast! I had everything I needed in my room, including a kettle pot and some tea bags and instant coffee packs. I hope to get back to this wonderful hotel again soon. The city view from the top floor was second to none!!!
The room was nice and clean, despite the fact that they were undergoing facade renovations.
The price for the room in the center of Kiev was among the best options. I stayed in other hotel for almost the same price but the conditions were so much worse.
Over all it was a pleasant stay.
The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, location is really good, about 10 mins to city center with a cab.
overall a great experience, we would definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip. The staff gave a hell of service with the quickest check in we ever had.
it was a very beautiful place. Thank you Anastasia at the reception. All the staff were helpful. Very close to the center. There was everything in the room. I left the 4-star Ukraine hotel the day before and came here. I'm glad I came. family atmosphere, friendly staff
Everything was perfect, the flat is very clean and comfort . by 3-5 min walking you reach Maidan the City center.
and what makes this place more perfect is the personal! Thy do all the best to make your staying better.
Thank you for letting me feel at home 🙏
The room was spacious and warm, and the bed was unusually comfortable (hotel beds tend to be cheap and hard in Ukraine, but not this one). Location is excellent, right in the city centre and only metres from the entrance to the Tealtral'na metro station.
Being residents of Kyiv and knowing this landmark hotel view in historical city center, we were always interested in how does this hotel looks like inside. Room is decorated in a modest way, relatively spacious. Quite clean and spacious.
The staff members were always there for help. The take care great care. Food also awesome and in just 100 gryvna you can have breakfast.
The hotel location is quite good as it's in city center. It also value for money.
I used to work in hotels and i know what is hospitality, and what i saw here is the best guest experience i ever seen for the past 10 years, all this happened by a professional receptionist (Marianna).
For that price in city center the hotel is totally okay! Staff was really nice, location is fantastic, the room was good for 3-star hotel. A little bit old but we knew it and it didn't bothered us.
It had to be the best boutique hotel experience I have had. Everything about it had a fine sense of detail. Great staff, fantastic room, fairly priced and excellent location. Quiet too!
The hotel’s location was good. It was close to the city center and the railway station. The price is cheap compared to other hostels. I had a good check-in experience.
