The approach to Pimentel is very uninspiring but it's a fun place when you get there: a typical seaside place for Peruvians. But it is very quiet in the off season during the week, when we were there. Peruvians' main meal of the day is lunch, so don't expect more than a couple of restaurants open in town in an off-season evening. Nevertheless, it was a delightful place to stay, with a beach and pier.
