Bukchondaek had such a rich history that's deeply tied into Hahoe village and Korea. The current owner & caretaker Mr Ryu is the person who will greet you and he warmly welcomes you into his home. I loved learning the history behind this traditional hanok, the tour, the amazing food provided, and Mr Ryu's hospitality. Bukchondaek is also at the heart of Hahoe village so if you want to stay in the village, this is the place to be!
While it's not a cheap stay, I honestly believe it was worth every penny! Its rare to be able to stay inside the walls of a well kept, well preserved historic house so you must try it at least once.
