It's an amazing hotel sited on top of a hill overlooking on one side Lake Toya and on the, a bay being part of Sea of Japan and one has a 360° view of the entire valley lake and mountains including of Mt Yotei in the distance. Its also a beautiful n lavishly appointed hotel and one of its many claims to fame is being the site of a G8 Summit hotel in 2008. It has many lovely restaurants, a great onsen plus a nice golf course to boot. Locals regard this hotel as Hokkaido's most prestigious hotel, and one can fully understand once you stay there. The staff are so professional and courteous fm the doorman to everyone you come into contact as they all seem so conscious they have a very high reputation to maintain as The Top hotel in the region. The staff is polite and responsive. The location of the hotel is amazing (especially when travelling without a car). The onsens were clean (unlike the images I saw) and we enjoyed them. We managed to watch the fireworks both night. The boats doing it are starting from this hotel and then going to the most right hotels. If you go infront of the hotel you can see the whole show clearly, from the room you can probably see 85% of it if you are on a higher floor.
