Conveniently located off the ring road, before turning heading on to Hofn. Nice big room. It was located in another building on the site, separate from the reception building. It had a big lounge area which made for a nice place to relax outside fo our room but still in the warmth.

The cabin was a cosy comfortable place to lay our weary heads. They do not serve evening meals there so had to travel into the town for food. Breakfast was varied and plenty. The young Greek lady at reception was very helpful and welcoming.

They were brand new cottages. Our family was the very first staying in when they launched that evening. Isn’t it a coincidence 😀 so everything was new and fresh specially the beds were spacious and the bed linen was crisp.
We stayed in for two nights with perfect location and the snow clad mountain 🏔️ views

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.
Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here.
