The Stupas and the area around it, the lawns, the monasteries are so good and magnetic that it warrants two half day visits for sure. Buy the ASI-booklet and the picture-post cards from the Entrance to Stupa opposite the Srilankan Temple. The ASI Museum at hill bottom is avoidable. The Srilankan temple is okie-dokie. The cute little Sanchi train station is also a beauty, hardly any trains stops here, so you could watch 100's of trains running north to south or south to north here.NilayUnited States of America
