A truly charming hotel that has been carefully renovated over the years to retain its period charm. Spacious room, delightful pub, and wonderful staff. This was a true gem in our European excursion.

Everything was exceptional and staff were so professional. Would rate this hotel above Amarda in Spanish Point.

I loved the bedroom decor . I loved the fact that you could open the windows & turn off the heat . My one pet hate is hot hotel rooms !
Take a step back in time with a hotel steeped in history that offers luxurious surroundings within 30 acres of private gardens and woodland.

The castle, the dining room and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Our favorite part of the castle was Molly the Irish Wolfhound who greeted us daily from her sofa. I wish we could have stayed another day. Our dinner was delicious and was served in what I felt like was such a historic room. Our servers couldn’t have been more gracious and kind.

Breakfast was excellent, went out their way to make sure that you had what you wanted. Location was ideal walking distance to the park town centre. The bar food was absolutely gorgeous, the bar area was very relaxing.
Very nice town, and very clean.
There was a lot going on the weekend we were there, but it was still very easy to get around and find parking adjacent to the town centre.
Our kids loved the Aquadome and would have stayed there for the entire visit!.
Tralee was also a great starting point for daytime to Dingle, Killarney, etc.

Tralee is a small town, but that is a large part of its charm. We were fortunate enough to stay in Tralee while they had a street festival in the town square, which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

I can't give many tips after only a one night stay, but I'd definitely recommend a pint at The Blasket pub followed by dinner at Cassidy's. A walk through the rose garden is also recommended.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the people, the Museum of Kerry, the Central Park and of course the live music and Guinness in some of the old bars. Public transport didn’t seem that good though and I decided to take a taxi to the airport which was about 30 Euros with a tip which I thought reasonable for the distance.

We stayed in Tralee for football, we only planned one night and would have loved to have stayed for two nights as its a long drive for only one night. The accommodation was perfect, the host was a genuine lovely lovely lady. The accommodation was close to all amenities which was perfect for us. It was excellent value for money as breakfast was included. Free wifi. There isn't much in Tralee to do to be honest but it suited us for what we went for. The shops are good if you're interested in shopping and there are some fabulous restaurants to choose from and also some lovely quaint coffee shops along the shop street which we tried out. All in all my experience was excellent and as I have stayed in Tralee before it met all the usual expectations of our trip and i most definitely will go back (for football) but for sightseeing I think Killarney is the place to go or Dingle. But . . for us Tralee was 100%,
The pictures do not the hotel justice. Room and general upkeep of place to a very high standard and the beds were so comfy.
Bathroom is basic but shower was reliable and water pressure and temperature was great.
Didn’t try the breakfast but smelt great. Michael was lovely too.
The location was amazing, right in the centre of Tralee with lots of excursion opportunities nearby.
A nice hotel with friendly staff in the restaurant. However, its bread and butter is hosting weddings. Our last night was loud and rowdy, and although we called security at 4AM to tamp down the singing, nothing changed. I was very shocked and disappointed when the front desk did not offer us a small concession for this disturbance.
Breakfast room very nice .Did not have dinner .
Everything just fine . we were attending a wedding in Tralee and requested the hotel to have the room ready earlier than usual . They had the room ready as requested which was fantastic as we had to change clothing before wedding . Very pleased indeed . Thanks indeed to hotel staff.
The Barrow House is fabulous! One of our favorite stays in Ireland. The location is amazing, and Daragh the host is friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. If you’re considering staying here don’t hesitate! Book it! I guarantee you’ll love it!
A lovely Georgian hotel in the centre of Tralee. Friendly professional staff, lovely food especially the steaks and chocolate brownies, nice quiet room. I felt very safe travelling alone. I intend to use this hotel as my "second home" every time I come to Kerry.
When we head off for a breakaway to Tralee, we always stay in Ballygarry hotel to unwind . The hotel itself is a outstanding place and food is very good and reasonably priced . We always get the junior suite with a comfy bed and plenty room to sit and read .
Lovely hotel and spotlessly clean. The staff were very polite and friendly and accommodating for our food allergies. It was about a 20 minute walk into Tralee. The bar had a nice outside area and there’s a lovely garden too.
Room was spacious & clean.....food was tasty & reasonable priced...staff were helpful & friendly...high standard of hygiene throughout the hotel....location was in the heart of Tralee
Nice comfortable annex appartment, clean and well furnished. Good enclosed pet friendly area at the back.
Great location for walks just outside of Tralee town.
great hotel in the heart of Tralee the staff were very helpfull they locked my motorbike away in secure indoor parking at the hotel which I’m very grateful for
The hotel was clean and comfortable - the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was fantastic. I had some of the best food at this hotel while in Ireland
